97° with a heat index of 110° today. Glad I went to the range yesterday when the heat index was only 109°.

In the Bluegrass State today 93°F feels like 100°F, 68% humidity ( actually low around here, especially this time of year), Dew Point 73°, wind 3 MPH NW.

I’ve got to say, summer 2025 has been quite mild around here. Sure, it’s still typical Houston hot and humid, but it only barely hit 100 a couple of days, unlike the past couple of years when you had almost month long above 100 temps. Been mostly low to mid 90s, and August is half way over.

Going up to 94 today, and quite humid. And then; the break in the weather that seems to occur in mid-August happens. Low to mid 80s are forecasted for the next week or so. The humidity as lyman has mentioned seems to be higher than normal this season.

It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be until it started raining in the dark, I had to put the windows up, and the windshield fogged up.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Terrible humidity this year. All that dew point business is hogwash. Even though the low at night isn’t reaching 73, everyday the grass is saturated until the afternoon sun and heat are upon us.
I generally don’t mind mowing grass but with that humidity and also having to cut my brothers grass I’m getting worn down.
