Sticks and stones may break my bones but tweets will never make me vote against the interest of my constituency.

Or something to that effect. So yeah, Trump's fault!

Didn't Obama make a disparaging remark about McCain's military service during the 08 campaign? And didn't McCain abandon his first wife for another woman while she was battling cancer? I take no pleasure in McCain's demise and I sincerely hope he made peace with his maker before he passed on into eternity. I am glad he is no longer in the Senate and I do hope and pray a true conservative takes his place.

Her name is Carol. Involved in a horrific auto crash while McCain was a prisoner. She went thru years of medical care.

Got dumped by McCain when he returned from Vietnam. He then married into $$$$$.

At that time, I began to lose all respect for McCain.

What he did to his first wife Carol and their 3 children was horrible and cruel, Clintonian in its execution. Almost instantly after seeing her new physical appearance, he started to cheat on her and picked rich girl Cindy as his future wife, all while still married. Even back then, it was all about him, ever the opportunist.

McCain campaigned in in his 2016 bid for re-election that he would lead the fight against Obamcare. After he theatrically gave his thumbs down on Obamacare years later, the vote that would make or break the ACA, later he gleefully stated "let's see Trump save America now!" He never cared whether Obamacare existed or not.

He cared NOTHING about the folks who voted for him or the rest of the citizens of this country. Again, all he cared about was himself. Ding Dong, the fucker is dead.

I had no idea that he dumped his wife and adopted children for Cindy in 1979 (Married in 1980) until I read it here and googled it. To me, that says more about his character than anything he did politically. Absolutely disgusting thing to do. And totally unrepentant through his whole life.

I don't even want to watch one minute of coverage about this dirt bag, so someone please tell me that he is NOT being considered for burial or will NOT be buried or does NOT qualify to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Gosh...a Viet Nam POW/Veteran, a Senator and an Admiral's son?

I'd say Arlington is a given.

He will be buried at the US Naval Academy.

The funeral service for McCain has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1, at 10 a.m., at Washington National Cathedral. A private service and burial are scheduled for the next day at McCain’s beloved United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland.

Obama and G.W Bush will eulogized him in DC, and Joe Biden will be the speaker at his Arizona services.

What a surprise.

This is warped thinking, plain and simple. You're fully ignoring any and all sense of personal responsibility and free will on the part of McCain. He's not a puppet, nor a robot, he was a grown man, professional politician, famous Senator, and making his own decisions when he did that, like everyone else... not even under any real duress at the time.

Attempting to transfer that responsibility from McCain onto Trump is hyperbole at best, and otherwise disingenuous or downright intentionally deceiving. Quit that nonsense.

Now, sure, I've no doubt McCain was angered by Trump's comments, but that's McCain's problem at the end of the day. And every one of those slimy fucks in Washington ought to be well versed in having thick skin, especially at the highest levels of government in the most powerful nation in the world. He had a snowflake moment and acted like a little bitch and voted against his party, and the American people, because his pride was hurt.

Fuck that front-hole for that pathetic display, of which McCain is ultimately responsible.

I woke up this morning

the sun was shining, awesome blue sky - the first in awhile

birds chirping

hummingbirds were fighting over my feeder - they be tough little critters

went for a drive around town and was overjoyed to see that every flag I could find was still flying at the top

the air just smelled better...can't quite place my finger on why...

what a great day to be alive in Arizona

Sorry, but there's more damage to be done. McCain will now join the others who've passed on to the other side to be democrat voters for eternity.

President Trump insulted mccain because mccain was a douchebag.

mccain did NOT become a douchebag because of President Trump's comments.

Blaming President Trump for mccain's voting record is either blatant trolling or outright ignorance.

What the hell are you thinking? Nothing he did in war time will make up for his traitorous, behavior that he has exhibited since being elected. He stands for all the wrong things. He has absolutely no honor. Some of you guys need to slap yourself into a little bit of reality. Shame on you.

Ummm, a bit extreme if you ask me. Show us on the doll where McCain hurt you.

Well I was going to stay out. Don't feel like bashing the dead, but if you can't figure out in at least one way McCain hurt you you are a idiot or being obtuse. I'll give you a big clue, it has to do with your entire body.

I understand why many hate him, but I'm not going to dance on his grave. He doesn't get a pass from being spoken ill about because he's a war hero. Just not going to go pop a bottle of bubbly to celebrate his death.

Blame that on Donald Trump. I voted for Trump - but his comments on McCain were what led to that. His tweet about McCain was hands down the most ignorant thing he's said thus far. I don't give a shit about McCain in the long run, but I find the comments in this thread fascinating. Trump was the sole reason that vote didn't pass, not John McCain.

Sad.

So saint McCain who didn't hurt anyone with his politics. Was so vexed by Trump tweeting something that he fucked the American people by taking his ball and going home because Trump said something mean?

I'm a little confused was that an insult at Trump or McCain? To me, it says a whole bunch more about McCain than Trump. Imagine it were your kids having a fight. Little Donny says something mean to little Johnny, Johnny loses his temper and burns the family house to the ground. That's the seriousness of what you are suggesting. McCain lit fire to the American people to get even with Trump.

You sir have made quite possibly the largest insult to McCain anyone has in this thread. I would hope he had a little more moral fortitude than you allege.

McCain did serve his country and did rather well while in the Navy.

Yes, he ate a big shit sandwich in the 'nam, while a POW.

And I am grateful he did what he did, and have no cause to question the why of any of it.

To include the issues of his actions during that time.

Once he returned to the US of A he made choices and acted freely and with his own purpose, and all of that are what I hold in judgment of him.

It's all about how he finished the race.

Ezekial 18;

24 "On the other hand, when the righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits wickedness by acting in accordance with all the disgusting practices that the wicked person does, will he live? None of the righteous deeds he has done will be remembered; for the trespasses and sins he has committed, he will die.

Trump hurts McCain's feelers so McCain perpetuates the loss of our liberty. If that is Trump's fault then McCain had no free agency and did not belong in a position of power.

Everyone knows why McCain voted down Health Care Reform. President Trump will be blamed for this instead, and the Dems will be preaching this-among a slew of other things-to win back the House in Nov.
Which will be a disaster! This in turn will affect every American-whether they really understand this or not. What McCain did on the Floor may start a very undermining domino affect-and he knew this.
