YETI has apparently decided they don’t want to sell their products to the NRA for use in promotions at FNRA banquets and auction events. This meaningless feel-good decision on their part makes me damn glad I never succumbed to the temptation to buy one of their overpriced coolers. And glad also that I don’t have one of their stupid bumper stickers on my truck, identifying me as one of the “cool kids”. Got this from Texas State Rifle Association: “For years YETI Coolers have been a hot item for sportsmen at the Friends of NRA Foundation Banquet and Auction events around the country. These Foundation events raise money to support youth programs and educational programs nationwide. The youth of America who benefit from these programs are the future hunters, hikers, fishermen/women, bikers, campers, wildlife photographers, mountain climbers, sportsmen/women and conservationists who will protect our natural resources and recreational lands. Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why. They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation. That certainly isn't sportsmanlike. In fact, YETI should be ashamed. They have declined to continue helping America's young people enjoy outdoor recreational activities. These activities enable them to appreciate America and enjoy our natural resources with wholesome and healthy outdoor recreational and educational programs.” The NRA Foundation is 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization. In this day and age, information is power. We thought you needed this information.

Really, they won't be selling their two hundred dollar coolers to the NRA??? Wow, I guess there are no other manufacturers that make a cooler. No one will be buying them at all the other retail locations either.

I have a yeti and an Izard trail, the ozark trail works just as well as the yeti and costs ~ 1/3rd the price.

I took the opportunity of sending a polite message outlining my feelings to YETI through “contact us” on their website. You guys might enjoy letting them know what you think of their decision as well. Try not to come right out and say “kiss my ass”, though. ![]() https://www.yeti.com/contact-us.html

I don't understand the whole thing. I do have a yeti, bought to keep crushed ice in the summer. My guess is it will last longer than me. Of course the ice might last that long without a cooler, who knows. I'm pretty much given to understand they feel there are more sales opportunities to youth who don't own a cooler than to oldies that already do. I probably own a half dozen coolers of various sizes and shapes. Each for a different purpose or from a different period of my life. I know my big red Coleman is in the top of the garage. Sure, it leaks a little, but then so do I. I remember buying it maybe 45 years ago. I got it cheap because the corner was kind of crushed. It leaks at that point. I'd really planned on fixing the leak, but I don't always get around to those things right away. If you put a cooler away, it doesn't get stolen or lost. Because of that view, I'm going to guess yeti's won't have a bunch of repeat customers. Now they've shut off an avenue of outdoorsmen that have a long investment in other outdoors products. Its not like they have a corner on the market. They decided. I can live with their decision. Unhappy ammo seeker
