SIGnified, to be perfectly blunt, your frequent replies of "Wanna bet?!" anytime someone provides an alternate opinion/speculation are becoming quite tiresome.

It only serves to make you come across as someone with either a gambling addiction, or a chip on your shoulder, or both.

Either way, nobody's going to take you up on your offer to lay down money on some casual messageboard bloviating, and being apparently willing to do so doesn't do anything to make yourself appear more knowledgeable or correct if that's your intent. Let it go.

LOL

Let’s be blunt. Why don’t we… That’s the whole reason of asking people to put their money where their mouth is. Lotta bloviating from the peanut gallery; not much good dependable insight. Check?

Why do you read it then? If it's just "bloviating from the peanut gallery"?
If we don't "put their money where their mouth is"... nothing said here is "good dependable insight"?
Why waste your time here if you can't make a buck on your brilliant "insight"?

Actually, you make interesting points... I enjoy the differing perspectives. And there's nothing wrong with an occasional friendly wager but this isn't really the place for betting.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Don't worry, our generals are being briefed on the Russia situation as I type this...

Well that relieves all my concerns, I am glad the world is in safe, competent hands.....

You may use the ignore function, or you can stay out of any threads I create, or you can piss right the fuck off.

YMMV

If you’re unwilling to back up your wildest claims without anything substantive, then I’m gonna call you on it every single time.

It’s not too common for generals to have chevrons on their uniforms (Nazi Germany notwithstanding), so I’m curious. (No, they’re not our generals.)

After Ukraine will be the Baltics and Poland.

I don’t think Russia has machinations to invade Poland. I think this action was to turn Ukraine into the lane buffer he wants between Russia & NATO. I don’t think he’ll move in the Baltics since they are NATO members. This is bad for Ukraine, but it’s not WW3.

If China goes for Taiwan in the coming months and Russia tries to land bridge to Kaliningrad… it could blossom into WW3.

Yeah, but the doom and gloom and predictions of WWIII are much more fun.

Invading Ukraine will cause a shitstorm and lots of economic fallout. But the West won't go to war over it. And Russia won't move against a NATO country. It may well move to re-annex former USSR components.

And just what are Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania? Poland too?

Former USSR states.

NATO will stand by and do nothing because Russia has their hands on the energy spigot. And Joe Biden will do nothing to help out the energy issue because it plays just the way he likes it.

Poland was not part of the USSR. That is not accurate and is a difference that has significance. Poland was a client state, to be sure.

They identify as generals, so they're generals. Ain't that how it works?

Close enough for horseshoes, hand grenades and nukes. Which we were threatened with BTW yesterday.

Surprised Buydem didn't fight harder on this, he's if what we believe about Hunter, Bursima, graft, firing government attorney, payments, stock, his family has a lot to hide from his Ukraine dealings,

When Putin takes over, former KGB, he'll have blackmail data on Buydem, and he may just grab the other countries while we stand by as he'll have leverage on Buydem.

He'll probably release it anyway afterwards to screw up our political system even further with scandal.

While all that's going on, does China takes Taiwan?

You don't need to blackmail a weak presidency. You can just sit back and watch it fall apart.
