bigdeal,
I always admire the pics of your 2001 Ford F150. You keep it up beautifully.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I purchased a new Ford Ranger in June, 1999 and am still driving it everyday. It's not hard if you just do the routine maintenance. In all of these 19 years, I only had one mechanical issue. Perhaps this is because it's actually a Mazda? Wink

My 18 yr old truck. Now that the Jr DFs are pretty much on their own, Mrs DF is telling me to buy a new (to me) truck. Mine is well maintained, but entropy is catching up fast.

18 years and counting. However we are going to donate it to a non-profit next week.

15 years.

I owned and drove daily, a 2001 Ford Excursion with the 7.3 diesel. It was great at towing our 10,000# travel trailer. I only sold it because I no longer had the trailer, and never planed on having another.

I'm interested to see how long people have kept their vehicles, especially if they are classics.

My oldest is a 1961 VW camper van, bought in 1973. It ran until 1977 or so, but I still have it and periodically threaten to restore it but that will have to wait until retirement. It's been mine for 45 years. We drove a 1984 Bronco II for 18 years and sold it, still running. My daily driver is a 2003 Infiniti FX35 still in excellent shape, making it 15 years old. The new cars are a 2011 F-150 and a 2016 RAV-4

Tony.

20 years. I bought my 1998 GMC Sonoma in 1998. I still regularly drive it.

I also own a 1999 Isuzu Trooper and a 2008 Ford Explorer. I have not had a car payment since 2012 and hopefully never will again in my life.

I owned a ford explorer from 1997 (new) until 2015.

It was my daily driver for work and long distance trips across the states.

I maintained it myself and only needed service twice both times covered under warranty.

I owned 4 other cars during those years that cost more and were supposed to be luxury but they didn't treat me as comfortably or as good as the explorer did.
