I bought my `97 F-250 Powerstroke new that year, and lost it last year when a friend borrowed it and proceeded to total it. It was still going strong up to that day. So, 20 years.

Before that I never kept anything much longer than the length of the loan.

Just 19yrs for my 1999 F150.
I've watched my coworkers go thru 3-4 different trucks each in that time. I'd drive it another 19yrs if it'd hold together.

My '01 Chevy Silverado. I bought it March '01 and sold it to my buddy in November '14 (i.e. 13.5 years) when I moved from Alaska to Canada. My buddy is still driving it and has kept it looking nice like I did.

I'd still have it, but it would have been crazy as the relocation package vehicle sale incentive gave me enough money to move up 8 model years. Additionally, if I would've kept it, I would've been spending money getting the Canadian nanny state adders (e.g. module so you cannot defeat the daytime running lights) installed just to license it.

Here is a pic a month before I sold it:

2001 Toyota Tacoma 4door.Bought it new. I will keep it until the wheels fall off. I can haul the dog around in the back seat, not get bent when some A$$ bangs up my door in the parking lot.Haul anything without worrying about a few dings and take it four wheeling.

I have had my 1990 Ford E150 van for 26 years, and it only has 120,000 miles on it. However it is about to be replaced with a 4x4 Ram diesel. Picked up the Ram last weekend.

Currently it is the 2004 GTO.

Bought it with 10 miles on the clock and it currently has 83,000.

Will probably have it until selling it and buying either a Charger SRT 392 or Hellcat.
