Is it technically correct that Trump has not been impeached, the house has voted TO impeach him, key word being TO....

Until the Senate confirms in a vote to impeach, it's nothing more than a legislative suggestion...

He's not impeached any more than a house bill is a law until the Senate does it's thing,

McConnell rips Pelosi for impeachment delay, says Dems ‘afraid’ to transmit ‘shoddy’ articles

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell set the stage Thursday for a potentially bruising fight between the leadership of the two chambers over impeachment, as he tore into Nancy Pelosi for “shoddy work” and said Democrats may be “too afraid” to send the articles to the Senate after the House speaker abruptly held off on transmitting them.

“This particular House of Representatives has let its partisan rage at this particular president create a toxic new precedent that will echo well into the future,” McConnell said on the floor, accusing Democrats of giving in to "temptation" with their impeachment vote while challenging their handling of the articles in the aftermath.

"Looks like the prosecutors are getting cold feet," the Senate GOP leader mused.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

These people aren't going to make me angry. I'm too busy laughing at their stupid shit. Look at what they're doing! They're assclowns! They're making up this bullshit as they go! They. don't. know. what. they're. doing.

One might as well let a tantrum-throwing infant make them lose their cool. This is quicksand for the Dems. The more they flail around trying to figure out what to do, the worse their predicament becomes.

This is why I balk when people tell me how brilliant and savvy is Nancy Pelosi. No she's not. She's just not. Just look at this mess. They've spent all this time and put the American people through this ridiculous theater, and all they've managed to do is make themselves look like what they are- fools who have been completely- completely- blinded by their obsession with Donald Trump. He's living inside their heads rent free. He wields Twitter like a sword and every tweet infuriates these madmen further. Donald Trump OWNS these people.

The American people do not want this. Those who say that Donald Trump should be impeached are the ones who were already against him. The American people want Congress to stop fucking around and do the jobs we elected them to do, and impeachment is not on that list.

Look at what Donald Trump has done for this nation. Look at how many people are working. Look at the stock markets. Come on. Remove this man from office? Really? Over a phone call? Fuck you. FUCK. YOU.

The American people judge the condition of the country by their bank account. Donald Trump is on the right side. WE are on the right side. The House Dems have FAILED.

The prism of history will reveal the truth to those who cannot now see it because they are blinded by their obsession with and hatred of Donald Trump.

Incorrect. The House HAS impeached President Trump. Think of impeachment as an indictment. He's been indicted, but has not yet stood trial. That's the next step.

Have to concur that Pukeloski is holding this for use in case RGB kicks the bucket in the next year, by sending them to the Senate the D believe they can control business in the Senate from the House by stopping all work in the Senate.

That means either holding up hearings and votes on RGB replacement, and/or slowing and stopping him from replacing circuit court judges.

They know there's not a snowballs chance in hell they'll win on impeaching Trump...

Agreed. I'm not angry. I'm resolved. These people do not have the best interests of the country at heart. They showed it yesterday for all the world to see.

I don't think it works that way. In any case, Mitch will not allow the Senate to be used that way. Cocaine Mitch will not be played by that dumb hag Pelosi.

Mitch has this well in hand - he isn't going to be played by Pelosi, Shitfz, or Naddyler.

He made that pretty clear this morning. He and the R's run the Senate and he's not giving anything to the Leftist fucks running the Loonybin over in the House.

I want you guys to stop this crap and stop it immediately. And enough of this "Miss Lindsey" shit, too. You may not like these guys, but in this matter, they are our allies. No more. Ever. Do not refer to Mitch McConnell as Cocaine Mitch. I have had it with this TIRED SHIT. You guys have driven that shit a thousand feet into the ground and I'm not having any more of it in this forum, and that is a permanent state of affairs.

You can call him McConnell, Mitch McConnell, Senator McConnell, or Senate Majority Leader McConnell, and that is all.

The same goes for Lindsey Graham.

I don't think he'll be played, but if she can hold it and then drop it whenever they like it then Mitch will still have to deal with it and stop all other work.

At that point would disrupt the Senates work for whatever time it takes to deal with it, be it a day, week, month depending on how the Senate proceeds...

The D seriously can't see that this is ever going to happen, no way the Senate impeaches Trump, the polls are hammering them, Trumps contributions are way up, so whats the end game, I can't believe they are dumb enough to do this without an end game.

Even the Russians don't take a dump without a plan.... Big Grin

Well, that's the question, isn't it? I know he's said it's basically DOA once it hits the Senate and I hope that means exactly what he's been saying. They don't even want to call witnesses, and I'm all for it. Enough of this charade.

So did I.
Any idea how much he's raised since the vote to impeach?

I’m not angry, not sad, not even amused. The old saw, “I used to be disgusted, now I’m just amused.” comes to mind, but it isn’t really all that funny. I am curious though. Now that the house has voted to impeach, but has decided not to proceed (at least for the moment) with the indictment, it kinda seems like they are just standing around holding their proverbial crank looking like total idiots. They may have some plan that I just don’t know about yet that makes what they are doing less moronic than it seems, they may have a plan that blows up in their faces and makes them look even more moronic than they already do, or they may just have no plan at all. Time will tell.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the Republican discussions about how to respond to this. “They voted to impeach, we don’t have to wait for them to transmit articles. Let’s take it up right now, dismiss it out of hand as being totally groundless and really stick it to those clowns.” “No! You are really not thinking about this. The longer those idiots stand around with their crank in their hand, the more stupid they look. Haven’t you ever heard the famous quote, ‘Never interrupt your enemy when he is making an error’?”

It is really too bad there aren’t more conservative comics, as I have a feeling they could make some serious bank off this whole cluster function.
