Now they learn that the House is only 1/2 of one of those co-equal branches.

Oh my!
Laura Ingraham is suggesting that Nancy Pelosi may not sent the Articles of Impeachment over to the Senate.

Sick and tired of the Democraps. It's insanity that Trump has been impeached on baseless accusations that have morphed over the entire bogus "investigation". They are going to reap what they have sown with a landslide victory for Trump in 2020.

Pelosi

Here is my reasoning, Schiff would enjoy it, Nadler would fall asleep and forget about it an hour later. Pelosi would hate it and I could ask her to remove her dentures so she couldn’t bite my teabag.

Like I told my friend don't believe the hype. Don't pay attention to the politicians, they are like the theater kids you knew in high school. Always looking for applause.

Over the next few days look at the donations; but not only that look at the cash on hand with relation to debt between the DNC and RNC. Look at the number of NEW donations to the RNC when they file. And look at the number of attendees at Trump rally's. Money does not win elections, but the number of people who donate that money do.

Basically I told him to look at the people, NOT the politicians.

Political theater is, well, theater.

I had a wise business professor who spent an entire semester describing the history (including present times) of slavery being the last throws of a failing enterprise (whether industry-based, country based, etc.)...from before Christ to now. It's true, when industry needs to turn to slavery, it means they can't do business legitimately (or they would).

The current Democrat party reminds me of this context. When they can't win elections properly, they scream, shout, smear, run hate campaigns...and even impeach. It's GOT to be their last throws. Let's make it their last throws. The Dems should be circling the drain.

This impeachment has to be an epic, historical rally cry for every living, breathing, adult conservative to GET OUT AND VOTE for 2020. No one should stay home. Vote twice (kidding, only a little).

I think Laura Ingraham is right.

The Democrats are not going to turn this over to the Senate.

Cunning Lawfare Maneuver - House Will Withhold Submission of Articles from Senate...

So what are they going to do? Hold on to it until after the election in hopes of getting control of the Senate and convict then?

Agreed, No matter what they do they will not be able to escape the stink.

They laid the turd, now they will stew in the warm steam.

I think Nancy realizes they have bit off more than they can chew and if the President is exonerated in the Senate they will look worse than they already do. This is the Democrat’s swan song Big Grin

Let's see how this goes --

Article 1 - "Abuse of Power" a nebulous non-crime that the House Democrats are certainly guilty of...

Article 2 - "Obstruction of Congress" another non-crime, but regarding the 'deep state' EXACTLY WHAT PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS ELECTED TO DO!

Bureaucracy exists to perpetuate itself and expand and build petty empires. This whole farce is evidence that the President is succeeding at threatening the power brokers in the SWAMP.

Failure to turn over the articles would cement the political nature of the entire exercise and kill the left. They have no defense. Mitch would just say the Senate does not take orders from the house. They could claim they are afraid of a "rigged trial" but what does a prosecutor do when he does not like the jury? Dismiss the charges? Were they that weak? You didn't even believe enough in your own case that you refused to submit evidence to be judged?

IF they withhold the articles they are DONE FOR. Americans may not know much about how impeachment works but they have watched enough Law and Order to know how trials and prosecutions work. They will be eaten ALIVE over the next 10 months.

Personally I think Trump should start wearing a stylized "I" on his suits. Kind of like the "S" Hester Prynne wore denoting unfair persecution (although at the time considered fair, but in the modern day it is considered completely wrong).

Schiff. If such an absurd hypothetical situation were to actually occur, Schiff is the clear choice for me. I wouldn’t wash my scroat for a week before the absurd hypothetical teabagging, this way the treasonous Rat can for once have proper justification for the bug-eyed look he frequently sports.

Honestly, there is no good way for this to go for the Leftists.

They have back themselves into a corner, in a closet, in a basement, with a leaky foundation pouring water in. And they refuse to come out.

Good. Fuck them.

I think Old Boy Mitch is thinking "this is going to be fun....".

Just more proof they know they have no case against the President and are afraid of even worse political consequences. They know a Senate trial is going to be an even bigger shit show.

from the links above about Lawfare maneuvers

It appears the absence of appointing House impeachment managers; and the decision to withhold sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate; is now a specific design.

As the process appears to be unfolding, the Lawfare contracted lawyers representing the House: chief legal counsel Douglas Letter, Barry Berke, Norm Eisen and Daniel Goldman will now argue before the courts that all of the constitutionally contended material is required as evidence for a pending judicial proceeding, a trial in the Senate.

What the house crew have assembled is an interesting back-door attempt to position a valid claim for evidence against the accused without having first gained judicial authority for it. The Lawfare crew will argue to the lower courts, and to SCOTUS, the blocked evidentiary material is critical evidence in a soon-to-be-held Senate trial.

The material they have been seeking is: (1) Mueller grand jury material; (2) a deposition by former White House counsel Don McGahn; and less importantly (3) Trump financial and tax records. Each of these issues is currently being argued in appellate courts (6e and McGahn) and the supreme court (financials/taxes).

The House impeachment of President Trump succeeds in applying the label “impeached president” that was their primary political purpose. President Trump is marred with the label of an ‘impeached president’.

Now the delay in sending the articles of impeachment allows the House lawyers to gather additional evidence while the impeachment case sits in limbo.

The House essentially blocks any/all impeachment activity in the Senate by denying the transfer of the articles from the House to the Senate. Additionally, the House will now impede any other Senate legislative action because the House will hold the Senate captive. Meanwhile the Democrat presidential candidates can run against an impeached President.

Lawfare’s legal svengali Lawrence Tribe recently penned an op-ed with this type of recommendation; and it appears the community that worships Tribe, including the House lawyers writ large, are following his advice.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, the second-ranking lawmaker in the House, said Wednesday that Democrats must discuss a last-ditch gambit to delay sending articles of impeachment to the Senate and prevent the Republican-controlled chamber from summarily discarding the case against President Donald Trump.

Lawfare is a form of war consisting of the use of the legal system against an enemy, such as by damaging or delegitimizing them, tying up their time or winning a public relations victory

Lawfare Group is a radical group of leftist lawyers in Washington, D.C. that, according to its website, operate in "that nebulous zone in which actions taken or contemplated to protect the nation interact with the nation’s laws and legal institutions."[1] Its founder is Benjamin Wittes and is associated with the Brookings Institution

Benjamin Wittes - Comey's buddy

https://www.conservapedia.com/Lawfare_Group

Benjamin Wittes of Lawfare, associated with the Brookings Institution, has been in the forefront of the political weaponization of Law providing the sketchy legal theories under which both the 2017 Deep State coup and the 2019 impeachment inquiry were carried out.

The Lawfare alliance [5] includes: James Comey, former FBI legal counsel James Baker (DOJ),[6] Comey’s leaking buddie Daniel Richman; former DOJ-NSD lawyer David Laufman (who also represented Monica McLean, Christine Blasey Ford’s FBI bestie and narrative engineer friend), Deputy AG Sally Yates, FBI lead agent Peter Strzok, FBI counsel Lisa Page; Obama administration lawyer Norm Eisen ; criminal defense attorney Barry Berke ; former SDNY U.S. Attorney Daniel Goldman ; Mueller lead Andrew Weissmann and the Mueller team of lawyers, all of them - and more - are connected to the Lawfare group; and this network provides the sounding board for all of the weaponized approaches, including the various new legal theories outlined within the Weissmann-Mueller Report, and a host of current and former FBI and DOJ foot-soldiers.

Fusion GPS is part of the Lawfare network as a distribution hub for research information needed by the journalists who are writing on behalf of the Lawfare need. Ezra Klein’s “Journo-List”; the email group of 400+ reporters for multiple media outlets who collectively collaborated on stories.

Benjamin Wittes was the first published reference to an "insurance policy" to subvert the Trump presidency, should he win .

Wittes published it after Strzok first used the term to explain the reason for FISA abuse to Lisa Page. Wittes wrote,

..our democracy needs a health insurance policy. Indeed, it’s not enough to imagine how the Coalition of All Democratic Forces, which I posited last Monday, might respond to a Clinton victory, a subject which I discussed discussed on Tuesday.

We need to imagine as well how such a coalition should respond to the unthinkable: What if Trump wins?

...The Coalition of All Democratic Forces should certainly see what kind of use it might make of the legislature, but realistically, we should probably expect that the coalition’s job in Congress will be to prevent Trump from passing anti-democratic legislation. That is, the task in Congress will be a negative one of denying Trump the use of the Article I powers, not the positive one of the coalition’s using them itself. That leaves the tool that will certainly be available: the courts....

If I wake up on November 9 to find that Trump has been elected president, I plan to spend the next two months building such a network....The goal will not be to challenge everything a Trump administration does, some of which will be lawful, after all, and some of which may be debatably lawful among reasonable people."[7]
