Yep. We had a plan, it was working. No deaths in 18 months. We had not defeated the terrorists but we had reduced their footprint.

Now? That bunch of idiots have taken us back to square one.

The below note went out this afternoon to American citizens requesting to be evacuated from Afghanistan,
@alanacbs reports. It instructs people to come to Hamid Karzai Intl Airport in Kabul, but says the US govt cannot guarantee their safety as they make the trip.
@CBSNews

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I don't know the exact size of Kabul airport, but from looking at a map it looks to be roughly 3 miles long and a mile wide. The shape is irregular so this is a very rough estimate

Has anyone noticed Kackling Kamala has really distanced herself from this whole debacle? Usually she’s hovering over Senile Joe at every turn but I guess she doesn’t want this pinned on her after the inevitable (IMO) removal of Biden occurs.

Aren’t VP’s traditionally always used in foreign affairs roles? She’s totally in hiding.

Why did we give up Bagram before this was completed? Does not make any sense.

"Vice President Kamala Harris reportedly refused to stand alongside Joe Biden as he addressed the nation on the Afghanistan chaos, allegedly saying “you will not pin this shit on me” despite her massive role in Biden’s US troop withdrawal decision."

Vice President Kamala Harris claimed a “key role” in the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan, but she has yet to make a public statement upon the Taliban overrunning Kabul Sunday.

Harris confirmed to CNN’s Dana Bash that she was the “last person in the room” before President Joe Biden decided to remove all troops from Afghanistan.

“Were you the last person in the room?” Bash asked Harris.

“Yes,” Harris responded.

Bash pressed with another question, “And you feel comfortable?”

“I do,” she responded.

“This is a president who has an extraordinary amount of courage,” she said about decision to withdraw. “He is someone, who I have seen over and over again, make decisions based on what he truly believes… is the right thing to do.”

After her incredible job handling the border crisis I don't understand why they didn't put her in charge of withdrawing our American troops & citizens from Asscrackistan.

It's 30 miles from Kabul and Kabul was theoretically secure?

From the videos I've been seeing posted by the Taliban along with some pics, it looks like they got quite a haul. Small arms are just the beginning. UAV's and the technology needed to fly them has also been "captured". The Afghan army of 300K was more like 30K, the rest were Taliban plants getting trained by us. Looks like the long game is playing out for them just as they wanted it to.

Not likely. I have read unsubstantiated claims that China is providing funding to the Taliban in exchange for mineral rights in Afghanistan. Again - I am not posting the source because it is not one I generally trust, but the logic is there given China's growing presence in parts of the Middle East.

This...the CCP has no issue bribing the tribes to give up mineral rights and the tribes are more than willing to take their money. The CCP will not fight for women's rights or fight against the opium harvests or hang gay pride flags on their embassy.

The CCP will do exactly as we should have done, bribe them, take their resources and use their country as a POP for our intelligence agencies and shooters.

The CCP is said to be after the Rare Earth Minerals in particular, and likely some infrastructure projects like they did and are doing in Africa.

The Taliban spokesman got a question about freedom of speech and he said the question should be asked to US companies like Facebook who claim to promote it while still censoring

You guys are living in a dream world if you think that this chaos unfolding there is poor planning and ineptness by those running the show. Jo ain't got a hand in any of this and it is an orchestrated effort to spread this kind of thing and bring it right here to America. Bringing ten's of thousands of them here is a good start with those already here and what has been happening to our south. All your carrying about who's fault and why it's happening, etc. is useless and a waste of time.

So now it's a conspiracy?

If we would have stopped it there, it wouldn't be coming here.

I agree with that.

No conspiracy. It is obvious what is going on these days.

But that’s exactly it. This administration is simply put; a bunch of fuck-ups.

They didn’t plan this debacle, they actually thought they were doing it right.

Not how I see it PA. You need to look at the overall situation (big picture). Not this one moment in time. That is exactly how they want you to react. But I understand the emotion. I do.

One story passed on from a family member that served with this guy. I'm sure there are many stories like his where the diaper wearing White House occupant left them and families to die. So shameful and could have been easily avoided

"My old interpreter from Afghanistan and good friend Yousef Rezai aka Ali reached out to me this morning. At 18 years old, at the height of the Afghan war and in defiance of the Taliban, he left his village to help the US military. He was with US Marines in Helmand Province from 2009-2012, and also with US Navy SEALs after that. He saw intense combat, and I trust him with my life. Thankfully, Ali left Afghanistan a few years back and is now pursuing a medical degree in USA. However, his family is still in Kabul and are being hunted by the Taliban due to Ali’s crucial role in the war. It’s only a matter of time until they are found and executed. He is desperately asking for any help or guidance in order to get his family out. For now, he’s told his family to limit their movements and lay low because the Taliban are on every corner looking for people. Please share, and if you have any guidance or know who can help feel free to reach out for more information. Thank you."
