At this point, without any names, there's little bite to this person's statement. To the best of my knowledge, only one general officer has come out with pointed criticism of how Afghanistan and the military conducts its business, BG Don Bolduc. He's named names, critised the rubber-stamping of promotions, the inflating of reports before Congress and the constant upending of strategy with new commanders, resulting in confusion and waste. Its been said by others, that in this current Army, a private who looses their rifle is punished more severely and harshly, than a General who looses a war. Upon our extraction out of Afghanistan (big IF), Congress needs to run a rake through the military and the intelligence apparatus, call on the carpet every CENTCOM and ISAF commander for their previous statements before committees and start busting FOGO retirements down to O-5. Privileges need to be revoked.

some pages back there was a post of our State Dept spokesman lecturing the Taliban That lecture was based on a UN Security Council statement Now our biden appointed UN ambassador picks up the ball https://www.foxnews.com/media/...ss-statement-taliban United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield boasted Tuesday the U.S. had used a "very strongly worded press statement" from the U.N. Security Council to tell the repressive Taliban it must respect women's rights and humanitarian law. As reports of violent repression against women and U.S. allies by the Taliban alarm the globe, Thomas-Greenfield told CNN's Wolf Blitzer the U.S. would be "watching" closely. "We are hearing from people in Afghanistan that they are getting threats from the Taliban, and we have expressed in no uncertain terms here at the United Nations through a very strongly worded press statement from the Security Council that we expect the Taliban to respect human rights, including the rights of women and girls," Thomas-Greenfield said. "We have also indicated that they have to be respectful of humanitarian law and that we do not expect to see that Afghanistan will become a safe haven for terrorists. But, again, it is not their words that we will hold them to. It is their actions that we will be watching." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx a "very strongly worded press statement". Hope you all can handle that. did we go too far ?

It's strange that this fiasco was completely foreseen by so many in the military, but apparently there were no senior officers with the nuts to resign rather than agree to abandon 10,000+ citizens to the taliban. Just following orders no matter how stupid or criminal. Calgary Shooting Centre

This is a very well written and long piece by Jack Carr. I think it covers the last 20 years pretty darn well! https://www.officialjackcarr.c...0b&mc_eid=cd16adca64

Gen McKenzie looking at a map. Appears to be Kabul airport. Also the map om the wall appears to be Kabul airport. U.S. Marine Corps #CENTCOMCDR Gen. Frank McKenzie directs operations with U.S. Marine Brig. Gen. Farrell J. Sullivan, the commander of the Naval Amphibious Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, at Hamid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan on August 17, 2021 US Air Force: Nine C-17 Globemaster IIIs arrived in Kabul, Afghanistan recently delivering equipment and approximately 1000 troops. Seven flights departed, transporting approximately 600 passengers, 165 of which were American citizens. Correction: Seven flights departed, transporting approximately 700-800 passengers. Below implies we only control the northern part of the airport (not sure about this)

I'll tell ya- All day I've been reading the comments sections of sites with articles on this debacle. People are savaging Biden and his administration. They are royally pissed off. I'm not talking about the usual muttering and fuming over the day-to-day jackassery of Biden and his administration; people are beyond furious. This joke of a career politician, this doddering old jackass who is losing his mind in front of the American people, is having his Waterloo moment barely more than half a year into his term. When these barbarians start taking Americans hostage, holding them for ransom, get what they want and murder their hostages anyway- when that starts, I can't see anyone managing to prop up this blithering idiot any longer.

I can only imagine the serious pucker factor for anyone left in country - high enough at the airport I can only imagine all those still sheltering off airport. I only hope the Taliban wish us gone and leave us to clear out. Also - I saw a comment that someone posted with a twitter that Bye-Den was going to CT this evening - that would seem odd as heck considering by end of week he has something G7 related among everything else going down - sure seems like everyone is turning on him - if only they would turn on all of them not just him - its a dem/lib thing and not just him alone - he's just the poser on stage [ https://twitter.com/RepJimBank.../1428035282914488325 ]

Pelosi statement on the weapons we left behind. https://www.foxnews.com/media/...us-equipment-taliban "This is what happens when you withdraw, some stuff is left there. It was thought that would be used. It was hoped that would be used by the Afghan military to defend its own country." Hope?
