Having a celebratory dram or two of Redbreast as I just received the final recoverable depreciation payment on my hail damage house claim from USAA after many many requests.

This was without a doubt the most exasperating experience I have had in my over 70 years. This was to repair major damage done by a hail storm in 2020. Aside from frustrating supply chain problems, USAA provided what is possibly the worse treatment anyone could imagine.

I've posted more details in the What's your Deal subforum.

First week I have had off in about six weeks. I started with a delicious homemade Sazarak, and now I am on a delicious homemade old-fashioned, using larceny barrel proof. I don’t traditionally mix a bourbon this nice, but I’m excited to have a day off tomorrow.

Not very exciting, but a few Miller lites. Pizza and beer is not a bad thing.

While I'm an Irish pot still and single malt scotch guy, I caved to a friend's recommendation to try some Tennessee mash for a non-bourbon drinker. Specifically George Dickel 12. Not as raw as some of the bourbon stuff I recall from my past. Quite decent but still not enough to sway my from my favorites listed above.
