One of the AS4 videos I watched on youtube talked about a strange thing about these tires is that the outside tire decorations is plainer than the inside. I'm assuming you mean with the 'Outside' marked parts on the inside? Pretty tough to install a tire inside out The Enemy's gate is down. | |||

Yes, these were rotated at 5k miles due to feathering on the fronts and road hum/noise (very noticeable in an EV). Being as heavy as they are, Costco recommends rotating every 5k miles and they do it no cost since that's where I bought them. I will say, I drive the heck out of this vehicle and throw it very hard into corners in Sport mode with the suspension at full stiff and Low ride height so not all surprising (and the rotation fixed the noise and feathering in 200 miles) | |||

Guys, did you look at PGT's tire picture? At about 6:31-6:32 on the sidewall, it clearly says "OUTSIDE". | |||

Pretty sure they swapped the tires on the wheels based on the lube on the wheels but my wife took it by (we're like a mile walk home so she dropped off as soon as they opened) | |||

I made it to 7k on mine before I swapped my dedicated snow setup on. It was only one snow storm and roads were unplowed. It did fine. I'm liking these over the CrossClimate2s. My mpg didn't decrease with the goodyears and the michelins are louder on dry road.
I did this one season on my snow setup and didn't notice until after winter. Oopsie. Not minority enough! | |||

******Thread Resurrection****** Well, I'm finally done with the GoodYear Eagle Exhilarates. I got to about 26,000 miles on them and traded my Mazda for a BMW X3. The tires still had 6/32" of tread left and were still performing just as well as they did when they were new. The only problem with them after the last update is I took a nail in the tread which caused a slow leak. It was a free repair and the Tech at Discount Tire guesstimated about 10,000 more miles before they'd need to be replaced. If I paid full price for these, I'd be happy with their longevity. At the sale price I got them at, I was very happy with their performance. Since then, GoodYear seems to have been on a role. I'm currently on the OEM Bridgestone Run Flats that are nothing special, but GoodYear has also brought out the WeatherReady 2 that seem to be a sportier version of the CrossClimate 2 and they just put out the replacement for my tires in the Eagle F1 All Seasons. Both of them look very attractive when I run through these tires. It seems like GoodYear buying Cooper Tires has helped them focus on making the best tire they can instead of making a tire for every category and every budget. | |||

The question occurs to me, “Can a tire be ‘ultra high performance’ and also be ‘all season’?” Maybe. As the former owner of a 911 4S with Michelin Pilot Sports, I never changed tires, just didn’t drive it when the wearher turned cold. Michelin says their Pilot Sports All Season tires are “ultra high performance,” so who am I to question. _______________________________________________________ despite them | |||

It's the category name for the tire segment. If this was racing, they'd be considered Rain tires. There was a long part of this thread of people thinking I was wanting to put 200 TW slicks on my Mazda. The only time the tires failed is when I got stuck in a patch of snow on the highway that was higher than my ground clearance. They never once squealed when driven hard in the dry or hydroplaned during any rain storm I was in. It was a great jack of all trades tire, but I don't know why there's a "Ultra High Performance All Season" category and a "High Performance All Season" category since it's the same thing. | |||

Surprisingly, there are not Pirelli tires in my stock size except for the terrible and expensive OEM trash. I'll need to do some digging, but the PZero AS Plus 3 and Weatherready tires are on my research list. | |||
