Hate-Hoaxing Atlanta Rioters Who Tried to Frame Trump Supporters Convicted

A trio of Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters who tried to frame right-leaning groups were convicted of federal crimes

John Wesley Wade, 35, Ellie Melvin Brett, 37, and Vida Jones, 19 were initially arrested in Oct. 2020 following a three-day spree of vandalism to police cars, postal property, and a bank in metro Atlanta. The three men planted notes that attempted to tie the crimes to the Proud Boys and other Trump-supporting groups.

The crime spree began on Sept. 30, 2020, at a Walmart on the west side of Atlanta, when one of the men smashed the window of an Atlanta Police Department vehicle with a brick. The note referred to the 2020 election and the Electoral College. Similar phrasing to the wording on the note showed up on an Instagram account belonging to one of the three men.

An hour later, one of the men threw a brick through the window of a Wells Fargo branch in Midtown Atlanta, and then in the wee hours of Oct. 1, another APD vehicle was vandalized, this one parked at a residence not far from the Walmart where the first incident took place. These two acts of vandalism featured similar notes as the first incident — but these were only the beginning.

The next night, the trio graduated to arson, beginning with a Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) police car parked at a train station. Then they set multiple fires at a post office in the West End area of Atlanta, damaging five USPS vehicles and destroying bulk containers of mail. Later, video footage at a nearby gas station showed one of the men buying another gasoline can.

In the south Atlanta suburb of East Point, the men set fire to two public works vehicles. Law enforcement found a note attached to a brick in one of the vehicles.

“The note stated ‘*STOP the FAITHLESS ELECTOR vote in the WHITE HOUSE…and the FAITHLESS CHRISTMAS in the WHITE HOUSE;’ cited several Bible verses, but misspelled Jeremiah as “Jerimiah;” and included the Instagram handle, ‘@NoFaithLessElector,’ associated with Brett,” reported Cathell.

A Twitter post from a now-suspended account from The Base, an Antifa group out of New York City, referred to the three as “comrades.”

Brett pled guilty and will be sentenced March 22, and Jones pled guilty and faces a sentencing hearing on March 25. Wade received a sentence of five years for federal arson charges. Interestingly enough, at the time of the incidents, Wade was out on bond for his role in burning down a Wendy’s in Atlanta in the riots following the death of Rayshard Brooks at the hands of police.

Tellingly, the GPS data from Wade’s ankle monitor places him at the incidents of vandalism and arson. Sentencing guidelines also stipulate that any time he serves for the Wendy’s incident and for the property damage and arson spree will not run concurrently. Wade was one of 36 suspects arrested in conjunction with the burning down of the Wendy’s restaurant.

Suspect arrested in murders of Albuquerque Muslim men

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police have arrested a suspect in the investigation tied to the murder of four Muslim men. Police say 51-year-old Muhammad Syed was taken into custody last night near Santa Rosa, roughly 118 miles east of Albuquerque.

According to APD, Syed is currently being charged two of the four homicides under investigation. Those include the July 26 shooting of Aftab Hussein and the August 1 shooting of Muhammad Afzaal Hussain. APD says detectives connected Syed to those two cases through bullet casings recovered at the respective crime scenes and several guns recovered in the case.

PD searched Syed’s home near Gibson and Carlisle Monday night at roughly the same time Syed was stopped off of an I-40 exit in Santa Rosa. Multiple guns were found inside Syed’s home, while another gun was found in Syed’s car, according to APD.

“A tip from the community is what helped lead us to this subject, and what helped us eventually find the car that we put out just two days ago to the public,” APD Deputy Commander Kyle Hartsock said. “Hundreds of tips have come in that have been thoroughly reviewed, dozens of interviews took place.”

As police went to serve the search warrant on Syed’s home Monday night, APD says officers observed Syed load items into the grey sedan police were seeking, then leave his home. Police then followed Syed out to Santa Rosa where he was later arrested.

During the news conference, said detectives are still investigating Syed’s possible involvement in two other shooting deaths, including the November killing of Mohammad Zahir Ahmadi and the August 5 murder of Naeem Hussain. Hartsock said, “We think there might be involvement in two other homicide cases, those are still considered open and active, but we’re working on more evidence testing and more interviews to continue to build that case with the prosecutor’s office.”

In all, APD says four Muslim men have been killed in four different shootings since November 2021. They include Mohammad Zahir Ahmadi, 62; Aftab Hussein, 41; Muhammad Afzaal Hussain, 27; and Naeem Hussain, 25.

APD remains reserved about a possible motive in the killings. In a news release, APD said “detectives discovered evidence that shows the offender knew the victims to some extent and an interpersonal conflict may have led to the shooting.” In a news release from the Council on American–Islamic Relations, National Deputy Director Edward Ahmed Mitchell said the group “strongly condemned the anti-Shia hatred that may have motivated the killings.”

“The motives are still being explored, fully, to understand what they are,” Hartsock. “We do have some information about [Shiite/Sunni] events taking place, but we’re not really clear if that was the actual motive or it was part of the motive, or if there’s just a bigger picture that we’re missing, so what’s really important is we’re still investigating it even though he is arrested today, we’re going to continue to investigative and work with our prosecutors to understand what the motives were.”

According to reporting from the New York Times, authorities are exploring possible Sunni/Shiite beliefs among Syed, his family members and the victims. APD acknowledged it has “heard those things,” responding to a question from a reporter about the motive Tuesday. Hartsock could not confirm if Syed was a Sunni Muslim when asked Tuesday.

It’s unclear if anyone else will be charged in the case. APS confirmed Tuesday that Syed’s son were questioned, then released amid the investigation Monday night.

“We’re going to follow the evidence,” Hartsock said. “If the evidence leads us to someone else that needs charges, we’ll be happy to file them with the [district attorney’s] office.”

APD says it believes Syed is from Afghanistan. The department believes he came to the U.S. “in the last several years.” APD says its officers have contacted Syed in the past for “a few minor misdemeanor arrests” including a domestic violence incident in the past four years.

BYU investigation finds no racial slurs against Duke player

PROVO, Utah — An investigation by Brigham Young University into allegations that fans engaged in racial heckling and uttered racial slurs at a Duke volleyball player last month found no evidence to support the claim.

BYU issued the results of its investigation into the Aug. 26 match on Friday, reiterating it will not tolerate conduct threatening any student-athlete.

The school said it reached out to more than 50 people who attended the event, including athletic department personnel and student-athletes from both schools, event security and management and fans who were in the arena. It also reviewed audio and video recordings and raw footage from the match.

As a result of the investigation, the university said it has lifted a ban on a fan who was identified as directing racial slurs toward Duke sophomore Rachel Richardson during the match. It also apologized to the fan for any hardship the ban caused.

Oberlin College pays bakery it called 'racist' over $36 million after years-long defamation lawsuit

Oberlin College in Ohio has paid out over $36 million to Gibson’s Bakery and Food Mart after years of attempting to overturn a jury decision that the college had defamed the local business.


In 2016, Allyn Gibson, the son of Gibson’s Bakery and Food Mart owners David Gibson and Allyn Gibson, chased and tackled a Black student who was suspected of stealing a bottle of wine on Nov. 9, 2016. Two students at Oberlin College, who are also Black and were friends with the student who stole the bottle, got involved in the incident, which became physical.

In a statement to Fox 8, an Oberlin College spokesperson said that the institution has paid $36.6 million to the bakery. The amount covers the damages awarded, legal fees, and interest accrued.

I find it interesting that when I search the Oberlin story, the only MSM platform I find is Fox. Not a peep from from a single MSM leftist platform. Curious.

I read an article where the the baker was directly awarded 25 million and that the total figure of 36 million included legal fees and interest.

Jussie Smollett files appeal of conviction and calls for new trial for staging a hate crime on himself - as Fox Nation is set to release five-part documentary on the hoax

Jussie Smollett has called for a new trial after he was jailed for staging a hate crime on himself - as it was revealed a new docuseries is to be released about his elaborate hoax.

The Empire actor filed an appeal of the December 2021 conviction for staging an anti-gay, racist attack on himself and then lying to Chicago police about it.

During the police probe, Chicago cops concluded that Smollett had hired brothers Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo to carry out the crime on him. He was sentenced to 150 days in jail last year.

The new series by Fox Nation, will see the Osundairo brothers speak publicly for the first time since undertaking Smollett's bizarre attack on himself.

On Thursday, Smollett's lawyers called for a new trial. In the 102 page appeal, they wrote: 'Mr. Smollett’s constitutional rights to due process and to a fair trial were denied by prosecutorial misconduct including allegations that a defense witness was pressured to change his statement…and shifting the burden during closing arguments.'

Guys, I am not kidding, this has gone from a front page, Top of the news story every hour, to something I have to literally search for it now.

I try not to believe it, but I envision newsrooms in mass disappointment that the person arrested does not fit the narrative they want to push.

And again, just another reason I don’t trust anything I read.

No one is willing to admit it, but there's a cottage industry of people that want to capitalize on their status as "victims", using the current narrative that people "rarely" lie about such things. As a LEO, I frequently learned that many of those I interviewed as "victims", were in fact falsely reporting crimes that never occurred. In one workplace, an employee bragged in front of at least four co-workers that if her boyfriend decided to breakup their relationship, she knew she could coach her pre-teenage kids to help her fabricate a molestation story to get back at him. How do I know this? I was one of those co-workers she boasted in front of.
