Thank you Very little

Does this give Baldwin his out?
Not sure about a complete exoneration, but his legal staff will certainly be using this as a defense, and no matter the decision Baldwins mind will use it to help him cope internally and as his excuse to anyone that will listen... |

No. There can be more than one cause of an event and more than one guilty person.

I would hope not. While what we all know as the basic rules of firearm safety aren't (AFAIK) codified as law, they should still apply. "ALWAYS assume the gun is loaded until you have personally inspected it. Don't take anybody's word for it." Not even that of the "armorer". IMO he's every bit as guilty as she is. |

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should
| Since Baldwin had the last say in this happening or not, I hope he is held to the same standard. While I'm hopeful, I'm not optimistic. More likely they'll make her the villain and call it a day.

| He cocked the hammer, pointed the gun and pulled the trigger on a firearm (not a "prop firearm" as repeated over and over by the press), and not for purposes of making the movie. He did this with disregard for the safety of others. He's as guilty as he can be. His actions resulted in death and injury to others.
If justice is go be served, Baldwin needs to go to prison. |

| Her alone? Perhaps she enabled a lethal weapon. But a large part of accountability should be the person who picked up the weapon, cocked it, pointed it and pulled the trigger. But for these actions, no one would have been hurt. A lethal weapon doesn't hurt people except through their actions. The judge got it wrong. Missed the real cause and effect. So, are charges still pending for Baldwin?

| Yes, his trial happens in July. quote: You alone turned a safe weapon into a lethal weapon.
I would not at all interpret this line as some kind of liable exclusivity. HGR alone manufactured the lethal weapon, yes. But AB still used it (or rather misused). Her successful conviction is really a strong signal that his prosecution will have the same razor-sharp teeth behind it. |

The "armorer" was not doing her job...
I am starting to find myself in agreement with Democrats on gun control, at least in part. I don't think democrats should be allowed to own, or handle, guns. . |

Staring back from the abyss
| I'll mark down this day as the first and only time I support Alec Baldwin. That obnoxious bitch needed to be knocked on her ass.

In a totally non-gay way, of course. |
