Tip of the hat, Jim. Your wisdom and way with words has always been entertaining and factual.

Recently, I corresponded with Jim to thank him for his presence over the years.

It's easy to say at times like this that life is cruel, but the truth is that life is simply what life is. It is necessary- absolutely necessary- for generations to die off, so that new generations can have their time on this planet.

Those now dead who had their time before the now living had to leave this existence to make room for us. It has to be that way. It has to be that way.

Jim knows these things, and he seems to be taking it in stride, but I have to say in all honesty that I feel that Jim is being cheated, and it angers me. There's nowhere for those feelings to go, because this is the way things are and the way they must be.

How does it feel to be indispensable, Jim? Because that's what you are to the members of SIGforum.

So, so sorry to hear the news. Prayers for you and your family JALLEN.

You've contributed so much to this forum and I hope you'll continue to be with us here for as long as you feel up to it and feel the desire to do so. In so I can’t see the author typically. However, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started to read a post and knew within a sentence that you were the author. Without fail, I was always right in my assessment. Jim, I am more familiar with your writing than anyone else on the planet, living it dead. Thank you for that gift.
