I'm back on nights for the next two weeks. One of the things I miss being on days is regularly working DUIs. I've always found getting drunks off the road to be an actual meaningful and productive part of this job. I got one last night and figure Sunday night will likely present ample opportunities as well.

OK, going dark until after the shit.

Anybody can make a mistake, but if I get the sense I'm being trolled by a member who "missed the memo" I'm not going to be gentle.

Thank you for your cooperation

Well, it's getting to be that time of year. I thought I should get an early start this time around, since "the greatest event of any sort ever in all of human history and even before" is being hosted this year by New Orleans, and discussion of terror attacks will be tied to this event.

So, heads-up, gang. There shouldn't be any missing of my directive.

Anyone who wants to complain, here's your opportunity, but it won't have any effect on my decision.

This is my way of countering- in a microscopic measure- the absolute fanaticism over this stupid fucking thing.

There’s a reason I don’t participate in threads where modern professional sports are the topic. The point of this thread is valuable enough to give my thumbs up. Other than that, I have no time for the people you described in the original post. Like Disney, they are dead to me.

No complaints. I get it. I absolutely detest their political equality Dei bullshit .
It is not missed on me that there is great economic impacts on communities all season long and certainly during the SB. And the nfl and many of its players do great charity work.

Yeah, the two years that I worked in the Denver area, super bowl was a definite ski day. Copper Mountain was a favorite for my wife and me, and we would book a condo room for that weekend, well worth while becase there was no wait at the lift lines.

Yes, let's not talk about it some more. Razz

I used to watch it for the ads when it isn't my team in the game. Now I don't even need to tune in to see those ads.

I always put off the bi-monthly Costco pilgrimage for a little extra time, and time it to be there in Stupid Bowl Sunday. It’s the one day of the year that it’s a ghost town at Costco. You can actually take your time and not clog up an aisle doing so.
