Mainly because of they provided money to fight legal CCW in the 90's since they "feared" what legal CCW would do inside their stadiums.

This is well documented.

And taxing citizens, who stupidly vote, to fund some billionaire’s new stadium. Almost every time local citizens, specifically homeowners, have to chip in, via taxation, for the new MEGA-stadium. What a crock of shit. Hey billionaire, spend your own money or take a loan out fucktwit. Citizens shouldn’t pay a dime because you aren’t going to give them profit incentives when you’re in the black, making $. What hypocrisy.

You want to really hate the NFL? Look up their tax free status, just like the NCAA. Yea, they pay taxes once those funds hit the NFL team owners, but doesn’t change the fact that the NFL is in a tax free, tax haven status. Fuck them. Their players make 50 mil a year. Their owners are billionaires. Fuck you, pay all the shit yourself. Pay for your own stadiums, and pay your own got damn taxes and quit putting that tax burden on your citizens. Kiss my citizen ass!

I’ve come to not care much about the Super Bowl, and just about quit watching college football. Only see it when I go to friends house for “football parties”. We just wind up talking and ignoring the game.

I don’t watch baseball or basketball anymore at all.

With that said, I’ve been a Buffalo fan for 35 years. So I’m interested in their games this year. If they lose I won’t watch most likely.

Thank you. We'll shut the thread down, probably on the Friday before, and there will be no- that is zero discussion about or even reference to this game, before, during or after, until, oh, let's say July.

You can mention it in July, and to show I'm not a bad guy, that can be July of this year.

Thank you Para.

Im not a big football team person and was unaware of the things going on in the NFL and the super bowl.

I’ve searched some on The Black national anthem and was shocked.

Thank you for opening my eyes on whats going on.

And thank you for keeping this site a great place to be.

And while I'm not watching the Stupor Bowl, the half time show should be worth while (?).

Guess who's joining Kendrick Lamar on the Super Bowl halftime stage? None other than Grammy-winning singer SZA.

WHO DAT?

Kendrick Lamar is out for half time and lil Wayne is is in last I heard. Halftime for me is when I destroy the toilet and grab more beer for my wife.

Halftime and national anthem scream DEI for me now. My biggest complaint with the Super Bowl

I am not a sports guy, but I do like to watch certain games. I really only follow one college team and they lost their chance this year. I had to look up who will even possibly play in this unspeakable game.

I champion greatness. I respect sports dynasties. I pulled for the Chicago Bulls, rooted for the Yankees in the Jeeter days, and cheered for Tom Brady louder than anyone in Minnesota. But I despise the Eagles and their douchbaggery fandom almost as much as I loathe Patrick Mahomes and the Kelsey/Swift side show. With no rooting interest in this game, I may literally skip it this year and watch a movie.

To add: I won't go so far as to say that the NFL is rigged/fixed, but I will say that there is indisputable video evidence , especially this season, that certain teams (talking to you KC Chiefs) have gotten ridiculous calls that absolutely influenced the game. When you have literal legends like Troy Aikman and Tom Brady calling out the NFL, you have a problem. I have a quarter that this will be the lowest rated Super Bowl in decades.

There is a huge wave of people claiming (with their version of Proof) That the NFL is rigged. I certainly see many signs of it as well.

I have kicked people I know well to the curb over sports. Something about pro sports turns usually logical, well grounded people into idiots. Their entire identity relies on the success or failure of a pro sports team. Be it football, baseball or hockey. They become the most shallow people on the planet. A sports team becomes who they are. If most people would invest half the time researching who they are going to vote for as they do which wide receiver they are going to draft in the third round of their fantasy sports team this world would be a much better place.

Don't forget about MLS (Major League Soccer) where you have asshole teams making statements like this:

"We have always taken a particularly liberal view of what are human rights.
....
Today we believe that gun control is also something that has moved into the human rights spectrum."
