Motorcycles. Followed by photography. Shooting is a distant third.

At one time it was motorcycles. The cost of performance mods and multi-state trips.

Today my only real hobby is shooting; annual range membership, ammo, firearms and training classes.

Not in any particular order, motorcycles, hot rodding, shooting, and I have since joined a Jeep club. My S-I-L is an enabler, he gave me a back bumper that he won at an event and is dealing on a front bumper. Only mods to date have beeh lighting, tires and a radio upgrade but I fear things will get worse as time goes by.

We are tossing back and forth the plan of a getaway cottage, nothing spectacular, just a weekend retreat up north.

I collect the old tuning fork Bulova Accutron watches. Style 214 to be exact. All of them have been redone so as like new.

I have something over 20 right about now with a new one coming in a couple of weeks.

I hadn't added any to my collection the last 3 years for reasons most of you know about but the bug has hit me again.

I'd love to get my eldest daughter to a competition. (She's 16 and has only ever plinked on indoor ranges.)

My wife and I are members of the Central Florida Rifle and Pistol club. If you go to the website and look at the calendar it will show you what is going on out there every day. Weekends are the busiest with competitions. It is a members only club to just use the range however competitions are open to the general public. There is a fee to shoot them. Our club also has very active junior programs. If memory serves me you do not have to be a member for the kids to participate. If you click on the programs tab it will take you to a page where you can find out more information.

Shooting/reloading. Also playing guitar. New equipment is $$$

Also, I work to restore muscle cars, motorcycles, and old tractors. But I usually get my money back in those.

For me, two areas eat up a huge portion of my budget. Woodturning, until I formed an LLC it was a huge expense, lathe(s) and all the tools that go with it.

My current obsession is home brewing beer, I'm still waiting on my first batch to finish, so far the outlay is huge but the thought of having an IPA that I made is very appealing. Oh well, you only go around once.

Travel and associated photography. Counting my 20 years in USAF, I've been in all 50 states, all but the 2 northernmost Canadian provinces, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Iran, Greece, Turkey, Kenya, several Greek Islands (including Crete, Mykenos, Santorini, Rhodes), Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Vatican, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Liechtenstein, The Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Estonia, Russia, Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales), Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Mexico, Grand Cayman, Roatan, and Belize. (I think that's everywhere.)

Before 2004, my photography was using film, and I spent a lot on purchase, development, and printing. Since 2004 I've been doing digital photography and the costs have been mostly equipment.

I also buy guns and ammo from time to time, and have invested a considerable amount of money in those, also.

For a long time it was Photography and Nikon cameras. Have an early model S, an S2, and enough F's and F2's I can't count them without unpacking everything. Also have Mamiya TLR's with a full kit of lenses and a Toyo monorail in 4x5. Actually plan on starting to shoot 4x5 again, picked up an Epson scanner that will do up to 8x10 negatives.

Now my most expensive hobby is Sporting Shotguns. In the past year I've picked up a Beretta 686 in 12 gage, another 686 in 20 gage, a 12 gage Browning Citori, a CZ Sharptail Target SxS in 12 gage, and a Browning BPS in 12 gage. Also reloading presses for 12 and 20, lots of powder, and have probably gone thru 250-300 lbs. of shot.

I've stopped counting.

Musky fishing... I thought walleye fishing was expensive at $2 - $5 a lure... Musky fishing is $20+ a lure and $500 mid grade rod/reel combos! However - getting a follow still gives me the shakes!

I only have two vices, photography took the lead this year over guns.

Decided I won’t be buying any more guns until I can get out of this Godforsaken state after retiring in a few years
