I am watching Mueller testify before the Congressional Committee and I am shocked at how he is confused. I was expecting a VERY sharp old man on top of his game. He cannot understand the questions and has very little knowledge of what is in the report. I have thought the same. then it seems to me he stumbles (wastes valuable clock time) more often on the Republican questions. I think it is strategic. My observation is that yeah, he may have the start of dementia. The biggest thing I'm getting from his testimony is that he relied on his subordinates to run the investigation and write the final analysis and he just signed off on it after the fact. The Republicans are doing a great job of zeroing in on the fallacies in the final report. It's been rumored for a while that Mueller was simply the face of this investigation and really didn't/couldn't do anything and it was Andrew Weissmann who actually ran the entire thing. | |||
