"My observation is that yeah, he may have the start of dementia."

I can't speak for anyone else, but when I made this comment it was based on family members that have had dementia and acted like Mueller is at the beginning of the disease and nothing else.

Jim

I streamed a few minutes just now and it's clear Mueller is trying to play the Republicans there.
Roll Eyes

Democrat's turn: Mueller perks right up and answers without stuttering or acting confused.

Republican's turn: Mueller turns on Doddering Old Fool mode, stuttering, acting confused about what is being asked, asking for things to be repeated. Running out the clock.

This guy is a piece of work.

This guy is a piece of work.

He's stonewalling Republicans...

Won't answer questions about certain topics that put him and the investigation in a bad light.

He just "refused to answer"

That was pretty damn eye opening:

Republicans turn:

"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"
"I'm not going to answer that"

But he's being DEFERENTIAL and eagerly answering the Democrats every question?

This is a fucking joke! Mad

Mueller clearly has lost his edge. Therefore we need to appoint another special prosecutor and start a new investigation.

Jim Jordan asked the right questions, even though he didn't get any of the answers.
The questions themselves made a statement without him giving a speech like some others did.

As I'm watching this, IMO Mueller is coming across as ill informed and aloof. He seems to have little working knowledge of the investigation that folks beneath him (who were clearly hell bent to "get trump") were doing.

I think the Republicans are doing a great job of turning the dog and pony show the Dems hoped for completely on its head. They're pointing out all the discrepancies, the biases, and the conflicts of interest all over the place. The Dems are all just chanting the mantra "no-one is above the law" over and over again and they are looking like fools.

A clear distraction from Mueller's stonewalling and obvious bias. Too bad it won't work in the long term. This whole hearing is a travesty and is showing the flaws in our judicial system.

Chuck Ross:

All due respect to Mueller, but it's obvious now that he was merely a figurehead for the investigation. So a Republican was the nominal leader of a group of Democratic prosecutors who actually led the probe.

I'm not a doctor; I don't know if he has dementia...
But I'm enjoying this thread and like the updates since I'm working and can't watch it! Cool

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
