$8.6 million?
Money doesn't go very far in San Fran.

Apparently, deadbeat tricks soliciting chickenhawks off the street don’t go very far either… the ban-hammer applied.

Full recovery doesn’t sound like a high bar to me. I read full recovery to mean, will return to previous mental faculties of a drunk willing to marry and remain married to Nancy Pelosi.

It seems strange unless you've lived and worked in an urban area loaded with homeless junkies and meth addicts. I've seen things that got removed from this forum when I related them, likely because it was deemed too bizarre and inappropriate to post. Let's just say that among the more pedestrian were people taking shits on the sidewalk as a matter of course, having screaming arguments with invisible people, and a lady wearing a full cow suit complete with udders using a frayed celery stalk as a dipping spoon in a jar of mayonnaise. Why was it frayed? Because she had no teeth and she was gumming the end of it. The long form of that story involves a pressure washer and an emerald-green nautical emergency dye pack and some other shit I've never seen or heard of and I have other witnesses who can verify a story that defies belief. I wasn't in some place like deserted downtown Detroit, this is all stuff I watched from the company break room window while eating lunch with my coworkers right by the Tacoma Dome.

The problem is, you are all normal, sane people and not psycho drug addicts, and you're trying to make sense of this from the perspective of normal, sane people and it's not making any sense because you're not psycho drug addicts. There's a whole other world of nonsensical, non-sequitur behaviors and norms that you're not acquainted with which explain this pretty neatly. The cops on the forum in some of the liberal controlled urban areas know exactly what I'm talking about.

There's still some debate among us over whether it was tartar sauce or mayonnaise. We were close enough that I still think it was mayonnaise, but with Paul? Probably tartar sauce. Big Grin

From the press conference- the assailant attacked Pelosi in front of police officers.

David DePepi - unsure of the spelling of that last name.

The hammer may have been Pelosi's- that is to say, he may have introduced it to the struggle and got it taken away from him.

While we wait for the SFPD press conference, the suspect in Paul Pelosi's attack has been identified as David Depape, possibly of Berkeley, according to the SF Chronicle.

Meanwhile, Pelosi is reportedly undergoing brain surgery following the attack.

Update (1223ET): More details are trickling in from the Paul Pelosi's assault.

CNN reports that the assailant was looking for the Speaker, and allegedly shouted "Where is Nancy? Where is Nancy?"

He may have been asking where she is because he wanted to make sure she wasn't in another room calling the cops.

I wouldn't be so sure that his question means he broke in to assault her.

The initial news coming out that this was likely "politically motivated" is a little puzzling.

This David Depape, age 42, allegedly lives in Berkeley.

Is there anyone living in Berkeley who is anywhere to the right of a left-wing lunatic?

If anything, it may be that this guy thinks she hasn't been liberal enough and was trying to confront her about that.

You know that the 24 hour news media do this all the time. They talk so much when they have very little to say.

Naturally, to the left, the "Where's Nancy" stuff can mean only one thing. As I've pointed out, it may mean something else altogether, but just try and stop the left when they get an idea in their pointy heads.

And according to the NY Post, Paul Pelosi is undergoing brain surgery over the incident. Full recovery?

*********

He also said Depape has been booked on charges of Attempted Homicide, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Elder Abuse, Burglary, and “several other additional felonies”.

Pelosi and Depape were both taken Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and NBC reported Pelosi was undergoing brain surgery.
