I never thought it was a "right" to commit a crime even if you are willing to pay the price for it.
Yeah, that's what passes for logic for this rocket surgeon.

Yes, basically an open contract for murder on social media, plus conspiracy to involve others to murder. And anybody who thinks this is "legit" is not just stupid, but a sick demented human being. And they are deluded enough to think they are "libertarians".

Yes. Earlier in the thread it was said his arguments were like those of a 14 year old child. I think that was being way too generous. His little tantrum is more like a 3 year old who has no concept of how the world works and all he knows is that he is not getting his way. This little infographic is spot on:

People actually took the time to point out exactly how and why his argument was completely wrong, and his response is to lay on the floor kicking and screaming and pounding his keyboard. Snowflake indeed.

Exactly. To say you have the right to commit a crime so long as you're willing to face the consequences is simply wrong. You don't have the right to solicit murder, that's why there are consequences for doing so.

I say this, however, realizing that LB is way past any coherent discussion. But, I do want to commend Para. He really has outdone himself in this thread and my admiration for his sagacity is even higher than it was before. Well done Sir.

Wow! Just read everything this morning, and I have to wonder if this might be early onset TDS/dementia? Maybe more advanced? Is this how the zombies and far left liberals form??? unreal man.

FB seemed to realize he was in trouble, and I hope he is getting help, but LB seems to have irreparable damage.

Sad to see someone's mental faculties fail. Never really knew these two, but perhaps the gov't should do a study to see if there were common environmental or other factors that contributed to their mental decline.

Seems similar to the lib/antifa/ type of thought processes, which I once theorized are caused by long term exposure to radon and cheeto's dust.

edit to add: lol!

I thought you guys had some kind of union bylaw that you had to use phrases like "bootlickers" and "oathbreakers" when dealing with infidels?

Calling people liberal is the best you can come up with? Was "I know you are, but what am I" taken?

Just because some leftist jury acquitted that sissy doesn't mean it's not against the law to threaten someone. Read link above.

^^ That's worth posting:

Press release from the office of United States Attorney Andrew Murray Western District of North Carolina:

A federal jury in Asheville has convicted Joseph Cecil Vandevere, 53, of Black Mountain, N.C. for using social media to communicate interstate threats, announced Andrew Murray, U.S. Attorney Office for the Western District of North Carolina.

John A. Strong, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Charlotte Division, joins U.S. Attorney Murray in making today’s announcement.

“Using social media to communicate threats does not qualify as free speech,” said U.S. Attorney Murray. “A threat is a threat, whether it’s communicated face-to-face, in writing, or online. My office will hold accountable those who use any online form of communication to transmit threats.”

“Social media allows you to share your views with the world in seconds, but it does not give you the right to threaten violence against others. The FBI stands ready to investigate whenever threatening language crosses the line to a crime,” said Special Agent in Charge Strong.

According to filed court documents and evidence presented at trial, on March 13, 2018, Twitter user @DaDUTCHMAN5, later identified as Vandevere, used his social media account to send a message that contained a threat to injure an individual identified in court records as Q.R. In the message, Vandevere sent Q.R. a picture of a lynching accompanied by a death threat. According to trial evidence, FBI agents interviewed Vandevere on July 18, 2018, at which time he admitted to using social media under pseudonyms to send threatening messages. Trial evidence further established that Vandevere sent the death threat to Q.R. because he did not agree with Q.R.’s beliefs. Vandevere was convicted of making a threatening communication to injure another person through interstate commerce, which carries a maximum prison term of five years and a $250,000 fine. A sentencing date has not been set. In making today’s announcement U.S. Attorney Murray thanked the FBI for their investigation.
___________

Meanwhile, rocket surgeon #1 interprets the ruling of a jury in Boston to be the ultimate example which proves his fucked-up, juvenile logic. Sorry, no.

Let's review, for the benefit of the oh, so brilliant rocket surgeon:

“Using social media to communicate threats does not qualify as free speech,” said U.S. Attorney Murray. “A threat is a threat, whether it’s communicated face-to-face, in writing, or online. My office will hold accountable those who use any online form of communication to transmit threats.”

“Social media allows you to share your views with the world in seconds, but it does not give you the right to threaten violence against others. The FBI stands ready to investigate whenever threatening language crosses the line to a crime,” said Special Agent in Charge Strong.

So it appears to me the difference between where LB is and where his opponents are is that he doesn't believe what the defendant was meant as a threat. Surely LB doesn't think threatening is a human right. That would make him a lunatic. I think the defendant may have been blustering with an empty threat, but it was a threat regardless. I'll admit that I don't really know. But LB doesn't know either. I do know Leftist A-holes though and the defendant is one. I'm certain he wouldn't have shed a tear if someone actually killed an agent. To the contrary, he would have delighted. Regardless he was acquitted just like O.J. Few people all of these years later think O.J. didn't do it. Only trolls and ignoramuses defend O.J. now.
