Omega Planet Ocean

Same price for a sapphire sandwich Moonwatch. I know which I'm picking.
The hesalight is $2k cheaper, but I'd worry about scratching the crystal.

My Helm TOGIAK EXPEDITION UTC arrived and I am very happy with it. I opted for the matte grey face with the countdown bezel. Who is recommended for image hosting for us techno-challenged, and I will post a pic!

^^^ I use imgur.com ...but it's not super user friendly. Mess around with it a little.

SHARP WATCH!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about my Helm.
The GMT & Countdown bezel, with the 24hr marks on the face looks about the perfect combination.

Now it’s time for me to mess with Imgur. I’ve got a few things recently that some here might drool over.

I have always been a big fan of GMT movements, but never had a watch with a countdown bezel so I thought it was time to branch out!

If you guys don't already know about this, the website "Watch Crunch" is a forum where (like SigForum) you can get and provide a lot of good information. I'm a member and highly recommend it!

Mrs Pulicords likes the looks and sizing of my white dial Omega Speedy Pro, but not the weight and certainly NOT the PRICE as she's not a superfan of watch collecting herself. With her preferences in mind, I ordered her a new model 1965 white dial Moonswatch for her upcoming birthday along with a few different colored velcro straps (she likes the comfort and easy adjustment of these). While (IMHO) the Swatch offerings are still kind of pricey for quartz operated plastic, I admit they do kinda look cool.

Are the OmegaSwatch available online now? IIRC, they were in store only initially. Closest to me is the Houston Galleria, and I avoid that traffic hellscape like the plague.

Edit: Looks like only 4 available online, the rest in store only.
The original Moonwatch homage is online available, but the Snoopy Moonphase has my eye.

Pulli, can you please keep us informed on this.
I've been interested in the MoonSwatch, and I've heard both good and bad about them.

Same here, those reports [and the traffic nightmare to the nearest Swatch dealer] have kept my wallet safe.

The worst I heard about them....and it was probably here, is that the colors wear off. Maybe a lighter color like that gray wouldn't be as bad?

The moon swatch is a big rip off and not worth the nearly 300 dollar price tag.

I've changed a whole bunch of batteries on them and swapped out the straps yeah you get the Speed Master look at the cost of everything being cheap as possible.

The case is one solid piece of plastic, including the pushers and the crown and not the best of quality. Even the crystal is plastic not even mineral glass. Don't get me started on the stupid nylon/velcro strap.

You can easily change the battery your self since it's a little plastic pry off cap.

For the same money you could buy a Tissot also part of the swatch group and get a stainless case and bracelet, same movement and a sapphire crystal.
