One of my favorite underrated forgotten songs of the late 80's Hater of fun since 2001!

The decade was filled with great music. But the second half of the decade was the source of my favorites. Sure, some of it isn't for mass consumption, but that's what was great about the 80s: a very wide and diverse range of popular musical styles. -MG

Their album Especially For You sat on my turntable for a LONG time. Truly one of the best LPs of the era. -MG

Forgotten is right! I haven't heard that tune since back then. Good one. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Gustofer, ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

To me good music seems to skip a decade. 60s was great, 70s not so much, and 80s was great! White Wedding by Billy Idol, Addicted to Love by Robert Palmer, Under Pressure by ZZ Top and so many other great songs. All of them accentuated by MTV!

There are a lot of great 80's songs but one I never see mentioned that I really got into was Loverboy. I think I read somewhere that they are one of the top bands of the 80's. Multi platinum albums yet I am the only person I know that even likes them. First In Last Out

Huey Lewis & The News had a string of hits in the 80s. ZZ Top peaked during this period.

egregore posted one from the Smithereens above; I always think of this band as kinda paired with them. They’re contemporaries and have (I think) a similar style of music. One of my favorites of the 80s. A one-hit wonder for me, but I understand he had longevity in the UK. That B-3 and Leslie is almost as haunting as “A Whiter Shade of Pale,” from an earlier decade. And from one of the great albums of the 80s _______________________________________________________ despite them

"Self Control" is a better song, but this is a better video. Unfortunately, she died young (52) of a cerebral aneurysm.
