We're all burned out on Disney, but if this series lives up to the trailer, it's going to be epic. Looks like they've sunk bigtime money into these episodes.

From IMDB:
quote:
Unlike The Mandalorian (2019), The Book of Boba Fett (2021) and Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), which used StageCraft to create virtual sets and locations in most scenes, that technology wasn't used in this show. Instead, real large-scale sets were built at Pinewood, and much of the filming took place on location.

The trailer looks good. Visuals are stunning. Just hope the writers are doing their job.

If Kathleen Kennedy is anywhere near this, fear the worst. Agree, I'm burned out from BoBF and Obi-Wan.

I hope its good but here we are again, mired down in the same nearly 50 year old story.
Thousands of years of history across an entire galaxy,
an infinite amount of new characters and untold stories but here we are again.
Is there any character in the Star Wars saga that hasn't had there own series? What about the cantina bartender? I'm sure he's got some interesting stories to tell. Or the band in Jabbas palace? Isn't there a full concert we can watch?

Soooo….. long time ago, far far away, etc, etc….

And my man is rockin an underfolder AK?

I mean at least they used to try to do a bit of dress up on the Sterlings, MG 42s, and Solo’s C96.

It’s like they aren’t even making an effort!

They're finally focusing on Corescant or, whatever human dominant planet and not having to roll-out a ridiculous number of aliens and creatures. Prior movies, especially the bad ones were so hyper-focused on creating aliens and their worlds, that the script and dialogue was mail'd in, resulting in underwhelming to disappointing.

Agree with sigspcops, LucasFilm/Disney continues to focus on a narrow arc of the SW Universe rather than focusing its stories on a separate era, it's become trite.

Pass. Didn’t care for the character in Rouge One, and not interested in seeing his backstory. Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan pretty much ruined everything they did after the Mandalorian.

Haven't watched Boba nor Obi after reading the reviews from users here.
This looks interesting from the trailer, but will let is all get released before considering it.

I hear ya all, but I'm in. Though the AK as a prop is really really weak, the potential for story line is very interesting to me. Rogue One was excellent. Less, baby yoda, more rebellion bravery. I mean, based solely upon the trailer, all I can come up with it that it looks superb! If it's a little off the mark in the end, it'll still be great, or really really good.

Granted, they get ten bonus points with me just for writing their name. Big Grin

Bring it!

Anything and everything in her world that runs perpendicular to her views, she's only able to interpret it as 'Trumpian'. She's a lesbian that I would wager good money, is a hard core Irish socialist.

That's what is so sad, there is such a rabid and devoted fan base, you have to try and mess it up. And they are succeeding in doing it.

I used to like Disney stuff, but Disney has gone so far off the rails, lately, I wouldn't subscribe to Disney+ if they gave it to me for free for life.

It's even more hilarious when you read the rest of what she said following the above sentence, “Our world is exploding in different places right now, people’s rights are disappearing, and Andor reflects that. [In the show] the Empire is taking over, and it feels like the same thing is happening in reality, too.”

How she can attribute this to Trump is retarded.

If this interview is any indication, Kennedy's fingerprints look to be all over this. Just listen to the way Denise Gough describes the men, or boys as she also calls them, around her in this clip. Lazy, Inept, Slouching, Corner cutting...yeah, leaves me with a bad feeling.

First three episodes will drop tomorrow.
