Well, it's what all Fremen children do. No room for prisoners. She was just fitting in...

Reviving an old thread. I just picked up the first trilogy of Dune books and got through just a bit of the first one last night. It's a tomb! I'll see how far I make it. Not usually my thing, but I've always heard so much about it, I felt I needed to give it a shot.

Persevere and survive through the first 100 pages. The payoff it worth it. Also, the last 1/3rd of the novel is basically a Dune Encyclopedia. You don't have to read it if you don't want to.

I saw part 1 a while back. Part 2 is (last time I checked) still pay-per-view so I haven't seen it yet. Part 1 was good enough that I'd consider buying a copy of the whole set on BluRay, but my question is: Is part 2 the end of it, or are there more parts coming? If more are coming then I'd just as soon wait and buy it all at once.

Whew. Only the trailer. I’m was supposed to have read the book before watching #3. Looks like I still have about a year to get it done. I never did read the book(s), sorry, I’m thinking they help. I gotta say, Dune One was so slow moving it was painful to watch. Maybe I didn’t ‘get it’, very possible. If they are on to #3, more than a few like them.

I'll still see it in IMAX, but this trailer gave me massive Zendaya Fatigue along with how the writers are changing Chani's character.

I haven't read the books, but have an internet-informed awareness of book plot aspects. I very-much like the first two movies, own them, and have watched them both twice. I am excited for the third one. It's unlikely I'll see it in the theater, so I won't see it until I can buy a physical copy. I haven't watched this new trailer with sound yet. My silent viewing of it has me excited.

Most fans of the book think the 1st movie moved too fast...so I'm guessing reading the books would help you better understand what's happening No, Daoism isn't a religion

saw the first in the theater after reading the book 2 times, it was good, but not book good, however it did help one to hear how some of the words and names were pronounced, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

Just watching perpetually pouty Zendaya in the trailer is almost enough to put off from seeing Dune 3 in the theater. "Fatigue" is putting it lightly.
