Saw it last night. It was really good.

The actor who plays Fett is REALLY good. He is better than ANY of the 'new' cast from the last 3 Star Wars movies, and Ming Na Wei is amazing (I've had a thing for her ever since seeing her in Street Fighter) :-).

Without referencing IMDB, isn't it the same actor that played Boba Fett in TESB??? And from whom the clone army was designed in Episode II?? I believe he has played all the "Fett" characters in the SW series.

No, the "original" Fett was Jeremy Bulloch in TESB. This actor, Temura Morrison was Jango Fett in TCW, and the template for all.if the clones, including Boba. So they went back and put his voice into TESB and RoTJ

Its always amused me that one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe was a throwaway villain, meant to die and be forgotten like some random Gamoreann guard.

There’s a great mini documentary on Disney+ about the history of the character.

It's definately worth watching, if only to see the redemtion of the Gamorreans (not to be confused with Gamora from Marvel ala GOTG, but you'd be forgiven if you did just based on names, but if you did based on looks . . . well, you and I just cannot be friends then).

Honestly I think it was more the ship and perhaps the back pack rocket launcher that made all us eight year olds dig Boba Fett. Any toy with flying parts that a kid could choke on is an instant classic.

I liked the part where Boba Fett and Darth Vader were walking in the 1978 San Anselmo Country Fair parade well before TESB was released, so none of the parade watchers had any clue who he was.

Got around to watching it, and have to say I was massively disappointed. In one episode, they have managed to take Boba Fett from super cool to super lame. First, Boba comes out of the Sarlac pit fatter than he went in. Not a knock on the actor or body shaming, but the current actor has a noticeably different body type than the person who played him in ESB. The bigger problem for me is that Boba is far from the super badass bounty hunter he was made out to be. He gets his ass kicked by a Tuskan raider. Maybe you can argue he was still a bit weak, but still his fighting was pretty lame. Plus, he’s not much better in the “present”. He and Fennec Shand are getting their asses kicked by the ninja guys with the shields, and are only saved by two Gammoran Guards, who were mostly jokes in ESB. In fact, Boba seems somehow now a less competent fighter that he was was when he came back in the Mandalorian.

It’s pretty easy to see why the other crime lords aren’t exactly scared of him. He doesn’t seen the same character who walked in and casually offed Bib Fortuna just one episode ago. Hopefully it will get better, but as a first episode, the first Mandalorian was much better IMHO.

Did the Fennec Shand actress escape from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D? She seems to be playing the same hardass.
