I'm sure Sam is still alive. I'm pretty sure Pod is dead, though.

Jon is the obvious, traditional Hollywood choice, but I'm leaning towards Arya, perhaps disguised as a wight or sporting the face of a freshly killed villager. She'll at least take out some of the NK's generals.

Season 3. The Brotherhood Without Banners were holding both Arya and Gendry captive, after Arya, Gendry, and Hot Pie had escaped from Harrenhall together. Then Mellisandre showed up and bought Gendry from the Brotherhood so she could use his blood for her magical experiments. Arya and Mel met briefly at that point, just before Mel and Gendry left for Dragonstone.
