Does anyone know why the 26X frame will not work with a 2.5 slide?

There's no formal "Gen 2.5" G26. That's just an unofficial term used by owners/collectors to refer to early G26s with untextured finger grooves on the grip.

So when they says it's compatible with Gen 3/4/5 G26 slides, it means it's compatible with all G26 slides.

I shot by GS 26X in 9mm yesterday and I was pleasantly shocked at just how much fun it was to shoot.

I don't know why, but the GS 26X feels like it balances better than any other Glock I've shot. I thought it would have more muzzle flip, but that wasn't the case. It just seemed like follow-up shots were faster.

I take all the BS that Lenny Magill throws out in his videos with a grain of salt. But I'll be damned if there wasn't some truth to what he was hawking this time.

It shoots very well, more like a 23 than a 27. It’s a 40 so it still has some pop but like I said more like a 23 it’s more controllable for follow up shots.

I will say overall they did a nice job on this frame. The stippling has a nice texture, grip angle is good all the components fit nice and tight, I went with Gen4 parts and then the 40 top end.

As far as holsters go, this doesn’t fit in any of the Kydex fitted holsters for Glocks that I have. It did fit in an old crossbreed inside the waistband, and also a Don Hume H721OT made for a G 30 large frame, both of which have generous dimensions. The pic rail on the dust cover is what throws everything off, and then they have exaggerated thumb rests on either side of the frame I think are also a culprit.

Like Chowser showed, a Raven Concealment skeleton holster seems to fit, and I just ordered an AIWB SlimFit Phalanx holster which he says is built for the new 26X frame.

Isn't "V" = Gen 5 and they made changes to the slide back plate to prevent people from using switches?

I don't even want to speculate, other than this is a lot like when Glockstore said all sales of COA models outside of LEO contracts were being halted. It benefitted Lenny Magill to sell out of all his COA inventory, and it benefits Lenny Magill to create another run on "pre-V" Glocks.

Glock store didn’t have a significant inventory of Coa Glocks when they made the announcement.

This is trending everywhere at the moment and seems to be directly in response to the CA and NJ lawsuits about the current “machine gun epidemic”.

The whole thing is just sad. What’s next - banning AR’s for fear that someone will put a full auto sear in it?

And yet, we had the Glock representative for North America say in this very thread say that Lenny Magill was not telling the truth, that it was an 180 day pause at max to fill contracts. Standard and large frame Gen5 models are being replaced by the Gen5 V. There will be some MOS models. There will also be some "C" models that are a distributor exclusive. The last day that commercial Gen5,4 and 3 will ship is November 30th, 2025.

Why anyone would get their panties all twisted up about the so called “Glock switch” is way beyond me.
I bought a switch and followed the directions about using Super Glue to attach it. But it doesn’t do a %$#*&@ THING!

I want my $7.95 + tax back from Amazon… but now I can’t get it off the gun. #@&%$!

You probably put it on with the "On/Off" leads reversed. I've done that.

Kiral gen3 backstrap fits the Glock Store G26X frame. Just gotta find a punch to install.
