Thats the whole issue, Sig wont give up the rights, instead they contract for a limited production run from MecGar, they put them on Sig's page, they're sold out in record time, and then they pop up on Ebay at inflated prices. You do realize that MecGar made the production mags for the P239's?

The P239 was produced from 1996-2018. If Mec-Gar thought there was money to be made on aftermarket P239 mags, they would have put them out while P239s were still in production. This is as viable as fans of 3rd gen S&W semi-autos hoping Mec-Gar puts out mags for their guns.

From Mec-Gar's standpoint, if they introduced a new mag for an out-of-production gun, a small minority of those gun-owners would buy the new mags. After those owners have satisfied their demand, whom is there left to sell to? You don't have any new owners looking to buy mags, so there's no where else for sales to go but down.

Rep at Shot Show sent me one to demo. It came in today.

Looks good, feels good. Only issue is it sticks in my duty gun. I'm wondering if getting the grip stippled cause some changes because regular mags drop fine. I tried the MecGar mag in other people's stock guns and it drops free. So that's something to note. If I can find my calipers tomorrow, I will measure it. I'll measure a stock mag as well.

We just did two boxes of ammo (100 rds total) and had no issues. It locked back when empty every time. No misfeeds. I'll check to see later if over-insertion is a problem.

--ETA-- It was the magwell. I removed it and the mag drops free now. It's actually the magwell screw. If I back it out a bit, then it works fine. Guess I'll shave the screw down.

I swear I had
something for this

It was also reported by Skipz Guns on YouTube that the base plate will not work with the magwell on the Fusion XP Pro, so it sounds like Magwells are going to be a check and advise.

So far, so good.

Not to slight Mec-Gar, because their quality is unquestionable IMO, but, ease of disassembly is the only thing which would cause me to purchase these magazines.

My 19 mags arrive tomorrow from our friend Greg Cote. Soccer season is in full swing so no clue when I’ll get to test them out.

Glad to hear other models are in development.

Like Para said, the ease of disassembly is about the only reason I may pick up a couple at some point. I'm really looking forward to higher capacity G43x/G48 magazines. Hurry up, Mec-Gar!

I’m hoping they will make some extended 10mm magazines. Like the extended 10mm Kriss magazines but only 1 piece. I could see me getting a BT APC10 in the future and would love to have more magazine options.

Blasphemous for a B&T I know but I have a number of the KCI’s and they work great in my cobbled together 10mm AR.
Though some MecGars would be great

Are you able to install insert a fully loaded magazine and have it lock in on a closed slide?

No issues on my Glock 45 or Glock 19 or Glock 26 doing that.

Looks like I will order a couple of the 18 round G19 mags when they are back in stock. I have never had an issue with Mec Gar mags in 2+ decades of use in my 226 and 229 and before that in my Beretta.

My one magazine has had no issues between four different Glocks. The other three are stock guns. Mine has the GPT and a kagwerks lever. No ramjets or porting allowed on duty guns.

I have two more coming tomorrow.
The next time we arrest someone with a "switch", I will see how these mags function on full auto.

I have a class coming up where I will use the MecGar mags only and see how it holds up.
