I know. I found this to be disturbing for some reason. Somebody was joking about 226 mags working in a slimline Glock (43/48) you just needed to cut new notches. They chuckled, I chuckled, everyone chuckled. Then yesterday I had the safe open and a G48 in my hand so I started putting mags into it. The 226 and 92 mags were a perfect dimensional fit into the slim line frame. Who knew?

Huh what now????

1911 mags will fit in a P220 as well, the only difference IIRC is the dual cuts for the magazine release on the P220 mags.

Kinda funny I pop into the thread to see this. I am pondering getting a G43X and some of those Shield Arms 15-round magazines. I was gonna start a thread asking if anyone had any experience with them.

I switched my 43X to PSA's current nickel microdagger 15 rd mags. I got tired of sending my springs back to Shield Arms every year.

This thread is really not helping curb my desire for a G48 with all the slimline talk. Razz

How long have you been using the PSA mags? Seems you're saying they're good to go?

probably several months but it's not a carry gun.
the first round of psa mags had flexing baseplates and i experienced failures to lock back.
the newer nickel ones have been working fine.

my iwb gun is a p365x. my owb gun is my old gen3 32. i think i have been carrying this 32 for over 20 years.
my pocket gun is a 42.

Me either.
I had a G43X and sold it after buying a Sig P365XL with a Romeo red dot.
Didn't care for the red dot and never was fond of the P365 as a whole.
Even after removing the optic and replacing it with a plate.
Sold the P365XL and now I want another 43X. Roll Eyes

I ran the Shield mags with their metal mag release in my G43X.

I find the PSA Dagger Micro 9mm 15 Round Magazine With Micro Slick Finish interesting in that one doesn't need to swap the mag release like Shield recommends.

I might be retiring next month.
If I do, I'll get a G43X as a parting gift for myself. Big Grin

Zero problems! Im north of 2500 rounds through the magazines.
Only regret was not getting the 5 pack.
Just remember to switch out the mag release.

The second my GSSF coupon is in (mid/late August), I'm hoping my local blue label dealer will have a G48 COA in stock. That model seems to be in high demand.

I have one of those PSA mags pictured above in reach of my three 43X pistols. So far, for about 5 months, one a little longer, they've been perfect. I have "a lot" of the oem 10 round Glock mags and always carry one of them as my reload for those pistols, and sometimes two.

I did not care for the Shields, since you gotta change the mag release for them, then the steel release wears the oem mags. And, as soon as I got the second generation, they came out with the third.

So, for me, it's the PSA and an oem reload or go back to the oems for everything. I'm planning to use the PSA until or unless one of them poops on me, then they will be "range" mags. But-so far, so good.
