I would own a G19/G32 if it weren't for the fact that the finger grooves don't fit my hand. I really don't want to modify it to fit me. The full-size frames are fine, as is the G26/33. I'm not fond of the grip angle, but it's not really an issue. RB Cancer fighter (Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma) since 2009, now fighting Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

Was in Cabela's, picking up a few items, gazing at older Browning A-5s, when I was lured to the end of the pistol display case. A 23 was there, looking homeless; but I resisted today. Maybe tax refund time, unless I spot one of those trade-ins tomorrow at my LGS.

We gonna get some oojima in this house! |
I went through the frustration of really wanting to like the G19, except my fingers went on top of the ridges of the fingergrooves. As I was about to send it off to remove them, or sell it, I decided to start experimenting with the dremel. I basically did an undercut on the trigger guard. I really like it now, but it still isn't perfect. I may send it off for a slight grip reduction and removal of the finger grooves but I can at least enjoy shooting it now. Even with the wonky ergos, it's fun to shoot. It's just one of those pistols that can do about anything you need it to do. ----------------------------------------------------------- TCB all the time...

I'm the same way with the compact Glocks. No problem with the finger grooves on full or sub-compacts. Gen 2 would be the way to go. My Gen 2s will never be sold.

Was fondling a Gen 4 G19 at LGS in Esky today. Almost jumped! But I spent more time playing with their very cool G19 cutaway! End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

So after shooting for 20 years I just recently purchased a Glock 19 Gen 4. I shot it once and did poorly with it. Hoping it grows on me. I do certainly appreciate its ruggedness and simplicity.

Man I love this picture. Yes I'm looking at this thread again. Once again considering a 27 or 23. Heck thought about a 19 so I could see if the wife liked it also. Been looking for a few yers now but always end up with something else. I didn't buy any handguns last year just a couple of ARs. Was thinking of a Walther p99 in couple of months but I was looking over my wife's little 43 and thinking maybe I need something. She has only shot hers a couple of times and doesn't carry it yet. She still carries her Xds. Maybe I just need to get a holster for myself and borrow her 43.

Is it wrong that I stopped by my local dealer today to check out a 19 MOS and am now considering letting my primary handgun go to pick it up? I was never the most accurate with them at the time although I attribute that to being a novice shooter and trying to figure things out for myself. I've had Glocks in years past and transitioned away from them first into 1911's and then to Sig. Yet I'm being drawn back to the dark side lately.

That's a first. We've never heard that before. In other news... Two updates: One; the magpul GL mags in my gen4 19 have been without fail going on six months use so far, including two move and shoot sessions on steel at PASA where you're hauling from station to station, dropping partially loaded and empties on the gravel and moving on, picking them up later. I don't keep round count or track on this gun, but let's call it many hundreds. Two; although I've attempted to muck it up with belly-button lint, steel cased ammo, and lots of draw practice, my G43 is still without failure. I don't have the ammo invested in it that I do the bigger gun (mainly due to a lack of magazine capacity) but still another impressive run of zero break in and zero failures. As a side note, the G43 loves - absolutely loves - the standard pressure 9mm Federal 124 grain HST ammo. (Which is my carry ammo, so that's pretty cool)

Nice Top 10 video. Gave our oldest a G19 MOS for his 19th birthday this weekend. He hasn't decided which optic yet but will in the next few days. Michael

Ethics, antics, and ballistics |
So I guess Glock decided nothing new for this year? That's a disappointment. They must have a big inventory of Gen 4s to get rid of before they introduce the Gen 5s that most people are hoping will have notable improvements on. Heck, I'm still seeing new Gen 3 pistols for sale. -Dtech __________________________ "I've got a life to live, people to love, and a God to serve!" - sigmonkey "Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value." - Albert Einstein "A man can never have too much red wine, too many books, or too much ammunition" ― Rudyard Kipling

Since they're still listed as available according to Glock's website, I've been assuming they were still in production.
