I just completed a modified .25 trigger job. I neglected to take apart the slide to polish those parts, but since I'm not a fan of the serrated trigger in my Gen 4 19, I replaced it with a smooth faced one, so I did a light polish on those points. I'm just waiting to get a chance to test it and the ETS magazines I recently purchased.

I'm now trying to decide what I want next, a 26 or a 30. I'm sure it will be both, but limited funds and a soon to be CCW holder (daughter), will make my choice a bit more difficult since I may never even get to shoot it Smile

Is this your duty piece? If so that says a lot, given the extra capacity available with a 17. I really like the Glock Compact line.

I carry a Springfield XD compact .45 for duty. Recent departmental changes don't allow me to carry a Glock 21, otherwise that would be my next choice. The 19 is for off-duty carry when I don't want to carry the extra weight. I do have a CM9 for summer carry, but given the uptick in crime over the last few years, the 19 or 26 will fit that role better.

Yes, this is how it begins. You have the symptoms.

Try a G19 first. That's a good starting point.

And, don't be ashamed. You're among friends.

Yes, its due to CALEA accreditation. My guess is that it will change again and it will be allowed, so I'll get it when that happens. It could be a long wait though, since this department has more issues to deal with and this is not high on the priority list.

Another take on those who are in denial. A couple of days ago I helped a regular customer who refused to look at a Glock, but not because of the usual reasons like that he hated them or some such, but because he had TOO MANY of them already, so he was simply tired of and bored with All Things Glock.

ADD, are we? Well I didn't actually say that so directly, since he spends thousands with us. So instead he looked at 320s since he shot one recently and liked it immensely, ultimately buying two 320Cs in 9mm and 357SIG. Apparently the whole modular aspect with caliber swapping was 'too much trouble'.

He lamented that SIG didn't offer a 10mm 320, as he nonchalantly dropped that he's got a custom WC 10mm inbound on its way shortly to us (if it's anything like his last Wilson that he transferred in, it should be a real beauty). I asked him what 10mm pistols did he already have. He replied, "a Glock 20". I asked how he liked shooting it. He paused and reflected, then said he like it. A LOT. Next thing I know we're back at our Glock case and he's pawing a G29 and the Vickers G19.

Yeah, they have that effect.

I traded some stuff for a G29, and it's definitely a BEAST to shoot. fun as hell, but not exactly what I'd call comfortable? I was surprised with how accurate I was with it, regardless. But, I'd really like to try a Gen 4 G20 to see the difference. perhaps the g29 wasn't the best, first 10mm to try. Big Grin

I've been shooting a G34 MOS with an RMR in matches for quite awhile and was really glad that Glock now has the factory 17 and 19 MOS model. I thought since it was announced at SHOT it might be vaporware for awhile but I see one online and its now on the way. You will buy a glock (or two or three...)

First time I saw a Glock during the late 80s. i said to myself "this is one ugly looking gun, and I would never even think of having one", after a few years tried a G19 and was hooked on its simplicity of design and ease of use..its like a point and shoot camera, since then I became a multiple glock owner/shooter

I swore off Glocks years ago. Ugly little beasts.

Tomorrow, I will either buy a Gen4 G27 or G23 (leaning towards the G23 since the 27 is not comfortable to handle without the Pierce grip extenders) for my new CCW piece.

It's a disease, I tell ya. . .

Years ago, I was at my indoor range and had a free pass to rent pistols (we bought my wife a revolver and got free range time with a new purchase). I never fired .45ACP up to this point, so I tried all three 45s they had there: a brand-new full-size 1911 (was a SW or Remington, IIRC), a full-size Ruger (can't remember the model), and a Glock sub-compact. I put my first two shots about 1/2" apart dead-center with the Glock - I had to retrieve my target and look at it up close because I literally didn't believe my eyes. I shot that sub-compact better than both full-size pistols.

I still think they are ugly, but it's for concealed purposes, so I guess I'm ok.

As I've stated many times in many places, I HATE EVERYTHING about GLOCKS, the way they look, the way they feel in the hand, the way they point, the trigger, everything. Until I take one to the range, and they outperform every other platform I've ever trained with on any drill except for pure long-range accuracy drills like the Humbler. There's a reason there's a G19 on my hip when I'm at work, backed up by a G26 on my ankle...

I've tried DESPERATELY to find anything that would match the G19 for size efficiency and shootability, and haven't found anything yet.
