Nice Baron! Also I don't know if we have discussed this before (i think we have) but i am perhaps the biggest Borderlands fan on the planet. How stoked are you for BL2? I dropped $150 on the Loot chest edition already....

But everyone is Glock this and Glock that, always go bang, run them over with your truck and no problems, Chuck Norris can't even break a Glock, etc etc...

So I bought a used 2nd Gen Glock 17 today. Not a smoking deal but not bad for an impulse purchase.

Not pretty but it fits my hands well which is hard to do. I have weird hands where a Browning highpower feels good but a Sig P232 doesn't. The Glock feels good though.

So, I am now a member of the dark side. If my wife asks me if I bought anything today I will just answer "Tupperware".

Anyone know what brand night sights came stock on the 2nd gen guns? My tritium tubes appear dead to weak, so i figured I would just replace the tubes instead of the whole sight.

Send the gun back to Glock and they will replace them for free, if stock.
They will also update the firing pin and trigger bar, if not already done. They will also replace anything else that looks worn and ship it back to you in a factory case, if you did't ship it in one.
Not a bad deal for the price of one-way shipping Cool

PM me if you have any trouble and I will email the warranty form w/instructions.

Bruce

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

“It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to try to enslave a people that wants to remain free."
-Niccolo Machiavelli

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

Ok 214 pages of confessions was enough to push me over the edge. I've been a recent convert to glock but I hope my conversion is different and one that is justified. A local guy I know, works for glock doing their trainings for LEO and military in the area. He has been blessed with a G18... I was smiled upon by the gods of full auto and permitted to fire said grock. The smile on my face after dumping 33 rounds in one squeeze was similar the one when I turned over my v-card. Thinking back on it those 33 rounds probably lasted longer than I did! Hahahaha. Since then I've wanted the closest I could get. A G17.

Picked up Glock #4 the other day after getting my pistol purchase coupon from the GSSF. My LGS is a participating dealer and had exactly what I was looking for in stock. A 2009 vintage G21 SF with factory installed Trijicon night sights. It's shexy.

For what it's worth I've had my G19 (Gen4) occasionally whack me in the head with brass and I don't really give a shit. It's an occasional thing and...I just don't care, I don't know how else to put it, I just ignore it and keep firing, it's not a problem. Yeah, I could harass Glock about it and have them fix it but...I don't care, it's not worth the trouble right now (it's currently my carry weapon so I'd have to switch to something else for a couple weeks at least).

Love my G19 (selling my G23 eventually but only because I just don't shoot .40 anymore).

Yes, I have several Sigs, a P226 and P239, but I just recently added a M&P .40 AND a Glock G22 to the fold. They all shoot great, but my first love will always be first...

If a glock purchase wasn't in your mind, you would not be posting in this thread.

Yeah, after buying a Gen2 Model20, I just picked up a Glock19 Gen3. After reading and considering the various discussion re: caliber vs. capacity, I decided the Glock19 was the best compromise. The M&P40c now performs backup duty.

Then I got crazy and ordered a Storm Lake 6" barrel for the M20. The Buffalo Bore ammo is already here.

Hopefully, this is it!
