Of course, if the 9x23 slides were available, and the breachfaces and extractors could be modified to fit .40s and 357Sigs, that might open up the market to those with regular 220s. Wink

The .40/357 options would be valuable enough to me that I would find the extra money and deal with the extra wait if they were available.

As for how the magazine manufacturer would feel about it, well...they're already tooled up to produce the mag bodies.

Even if it required new magazines, I would be interested.

Fantastic looking so far. I wish I could've gotten in on this somehow!

Flork, how did you know? When people have previously told me I was a "gas", I thought they were referring to my personality, although I always suspected it was "anatomical"?

Guess this has opened up a can of worms, but seems to be fair amount of interest on other calibers if mag and other issues can be resolved. Since I sell a lot of Barsto's, was hoping I could get in on ordering those for customers; but would simplify things if they could order both the barrels and requisite mags from you! Boo Hoo!

Whatcha worried about Jerry? You and Tom at Top Gun Supply are going to get the lion's share of P220 Stainless and P220 Elite Stainless sales. Big Grin

And hopefully, if those of us in the first batch are also looking for magazines for a .40/.357 Sig conversion (assuming it's feasible), hopefully it will help GGI get better pricing for all of the magazines for the 2nd and subsequent batches of 10mm conversions.

Anarion, my comment was about half "tongue in cheek"; but you made good point about stainless 220's, if any would start being available!

Jerry,

Yep, I got that tongue in cheek part...Smile
Sig already said they were going to phase out the all stainless P220s a year or so ago right? But I thought that they were going to continue producing the Stainless Elites, weren't they?

the 220 is still in production for CA because they can't get any new guns approved for sale. you'll see them at dealers from time to time

Someone in Sig CS did mutter something to me a few months ago to the effect that "those beavertails aren't going to be around forever".

I might actually believe it if they headhunt their new president from Yamaha.

(Sigh.) How are the new trigger/hammer parts coming along?

Anarion, you are right about "non Elite" 220 ST Being discontinued, except continued to be made for Ca. customers. Supposedly, no Sig dealer outside of CA could buy one, even if customer was located in CA, but we all know how Sig "fudges" their own policies and a few have shown up.

Have not heard anything about any of Elite's (all have beavertails) having a limited life, as Elite's are most popular Sigs, other than "standard"?

Flork, you need to have your mouth washed out with soap for even saying "MIM"! LOL

Yes, I agree, I should be punished, but you know it could happen.

Flork, it certainly could happen: but don't give those greedy SOB's any ideas about squeezing out more profit while simultaneously squeezing out quality! Now back to appropriate punishment for you?

Flork, My Sig 220ST as the older internal extractor. Is that going to be a problem converting it to 10MM?
