Whatever info you’re looking for would be better posted in a new thread so folks can easily see and answer. Your post here would just be buried, and no one will notice it, except Udo.

Welcome to the forum. Your P220 falls in the „peened over W“ era so it would be great if you could provide more detail about the markings.one more number in the serial would be helpful also.
Sig rep said they have no record of any pistols made before 2004-2005. He said all serials beginning with SA4 are German manufactured and he speculated late 90’s to early 00’s for the year of manufacture. There is an entry for member SigSauerP228 for a P239 with an SA4 prefix followed by a five digit serial beginning with 43### with a manufacture year of 1997, so it’s conceivable mine is a 1999 or 2000 production at the latest. There is another P239 with identical prefix and 94### serial with an ‘03 manufacture year, so if Sig was making less than 10,000/year mine might even have a 1998 manufacture date.
5 minutes later: it is 1998. I just used my loupe to verify the date mold on the inside of the factory grips (got the idea from someone else’s comment). One is dated 2/98, the other 9/98, so I feel pretty confident declaring it is a 1998 manufacture.

The slide doesn’t have a peened over “w”, no serial numbers on slide or barrel also no proof marks on bottom of slide. G2625xx. From what I can uncover, made around 1996-97?
P226 U6466xx-NYPD DAO with nickel controls issued to me in 2002. German frame. It was a huge academy class, there had to be hundreds issued in that range.
P228 B2755XX-KH- IDF surplus from Atlantic Firearms, CAI import.
Thank you for this resource, and let me know if you need anything else.

The local gun store had two used pistols I had take home with me:
1) Sig P226 with night sights, E2 grip, 2 magazines. SN: UU671xxx - marked "E2" on right side of the slide 2) Sig P229-22LR with Hogue grip, (3) magazines. SN: AE457xx
Looking forward to taking this out to shoot after I clean them
