^^^ SIG US started their 3-letter prefix system for the P229 with "AAU" in about 2005. So, your "ABU" should be about 2005/2006. You can obtain the exact BD by contacting SIG CS with your serial number. This 3-letter system went up to "AKU", then they changed again.
