You can put it back in your holster if you like, but I’ll politely decline to put a 320 in my own holster thank you very much. I do still dig my P365 for its compactness when I really don’t feel like carrying a gun. If it wasn’t for the fact that SIG has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I no longer wish to support them as a company, I’d actually consider getting a P365 Fuze, quasi full size pistol. I actually really liked my buddy’s that I handled recently. I could also see myself buying a 226 Legion SAO or one of the SAO X5 or X6 (or whatever the heck they’re called nowadays) if SIG would kick Cohen to the curb. I like to put my money where my mouth is and support organizations that I stopped supporting due to bad management when they change management and attempt to Right their ways (e.g. the NRA). “It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Task Force Officers TFOs are local/state LEOs who are attached to a federal LE task force on a part time or full time basis. The task forces are typically focused on a specific subset of LE operations, like drugs, guns, warrants, child porn, terrorism, etc. In the case of the US Marshals Service, they use TFOs from the local LE agencies within their districts to assist on their regional fugitive task forces, working as a team to find fugitives and felons with outstanding warrants and apprehending them. To add to that All TFOs regardless of Federal Agency they are assigned to are sworn in as Special Deputy US Marshals and their credentials will list US Marshals and whatever alphabet soup agency they are attached to. You can always tell who actually pays attention to the creds when you show them as they get quite confused. I’m having trouble following what he’s saying. It seems the “absolutely dangerous condition” can only happen with the P320 unloaded and since the P320 won’t accepted a magazine in this condition, then it cannot be loaded. Locking the slide back to allows a magazine to be inserted, but also removes the “absolutely dangerous condition”. What’s “absolutely dangerous” here about an unloaded gun? Also, isn’t this the thing Grayguns verified could be an issue if a 45/10mm takedown safety lever were to be installed in a 9mm FCU and the firearm was assemble without using the slide lock? Using the wrong takedown safety lever allows a 9mm magazine to be inserted with the slide closed, racking the slide chambers a round, and since the slide release isn’t touched, the gun is really in a dangerous condition at that point. My take is that the gun is safe and the youtubers jumping on the anti-sig bandwagon have been running their "tests" before & without locking the slide back after disassembly. IDK about members here, but I ALWAYS lock the slide back after takedown and reassembly, then load the gun. The gun can't be loaded until the slide is locked back, so I'm even more skeptical about the YouTube "tests" that have been done. I usually load a pistol by placing the magazine into the pistol and then racking the slide. You mean you can't do that with the p320? Also, I have never seen the method described above as the standard way of loading a handgun unless the pistol has gone to slide lock and you need to reload while at the range. | |||

They're talking about after disassembly/reassembly. When the takedown lever is rotated down, the takedown safety lever protrudes in to the magwell and blocks the insertion of a mag (if there's a mag already in there, you can't rotate the takedown lever). After reassembly when the takedown lever has been rotated back into the "assembled" position, you either have to lock the slide to the rear or at least move the slide catch upward to release the takedown safety lever and allow it to move forward and clear the magwell. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer. | |||
