Never doubted that. Would make zero sense, if they didn't, because it is much less complicated than the SAO. Q

THANK YOU Sir - This is GREAT news. I will now wait for its release. I will own one of these - eventually… Any clue on how long of a wait we will have?

Knowing SIG they will wait until sales on the SAO model begins to trend down and then they will release the US X5 Allround model.

Great looking pistol and it would be cool to own one however I’ll have to be satisfied with my Legion P226 SAO (3 lb 8oz factory trigger) and my Legion X5.

As with the P210A and P210 Carry, gotta give Sig credit for following through on this. ------------ SP2022 - 9mm

And it begins. They're selling them at $2500...Add tax & fees to that.... Q

Q - What surprises me is that this seller would put a BIN on this first listing equal to the start price of $2500.00. I would have thought the seller would have left the BIN off to see what it would go for….Is there a possibility that SIG has told its dealers/distributors that they cannot sell these pistols for more than this one is listed for?

Would I like to have an original? Sure. Do I think the current price on these makes an original more appealing? Perhaps, not much more for one that should appreciate in value quicker. With that said, I've come close to buying an older X-Series multiple times but could never justify it because I want to shoot it and the lack of support made me hesitant. I will definitely buy one or two of these, one to shoot and one to store. The support, for me, is what sells this one. Certainly not the price. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

Mr. Otto - I agree with you 100% on knowing that if something breaks it can be fixed stateside and/or the parts can be ordered and on hand. What is also appealing to me is that these new X5’s are going to be Optic Capable. My aging eyes are moving in that direction quickly when it comes to local Steel Challenge and IDPA matches (small local non-sanctioned matches where they will allow me to use this pistol).

So what would SIG do if this dealer didn't cap his price? What would SIG do if EVERY authorized reseller sold above MSRP? Not a damn thins, except maybe at some point raise the MSRP. GM recent tried that control shit with the C8 Corvette and guess what, nobody listened. Sure there were special customers who got their cars for at or around list, but given market realities most dealers rode the demand wave and GM in the end was powerless to stop it. It's not like they could've dropped any (more like, all) of their existing Chevy franchise owners for new ones, not without a complete and total disruption of the entire retail supply and service chain. The same is true of SIG if they were to posture that sort of bullshit on their approved dealers, particularly given how relatively slow the general handgun market is these days. -MG

One that I saved in my watch list sold for $2500.00 (Buy it Now) in less than 12 hours of the listing start…… Two other dealers have listings now on GB - both with their starting price and Buy it Now prices reflecting exactly the same - $2499.99. I think someone said that SIG’s Pro Shop is selling these for $2199

I'll buy one, eventually, maybe. Just to shoot and compare it with the German one. Verify it for my satisfaction. But, I'll never pay more than MSRP on these. Q

Patience, grasshoppers. If they have a decent production run, the prices will come down. _________________________ 2nd Amendment Defender The Second Amendment is not about hunting or sport shooting.

After pissing away a ton of time trying to find a decent deal on a good Old School X5 less than $3,000, I just placed my order for a brand new American made X5. Ordered through Grab a Gun who showed them in stock at $2,199. I might have got the last one because now they show out of stock. Will do. The only thing I will have to compare it to is an X5 All Around and my SA/DA 226s. Dave _________________________ Those that say it can’t be done should not interrupt the people doing it!!!

Frikkin' awesome news! They just need to lose the integrated rear sight optic cover. Stainless cover and standard rear for those who don't want an optic. I'll mount the optic and have backup irons. ...that I will support and defend...
