Me too. It's better for the Big Ten to have an undefeated team win next weekend.

I want my Bucks to beat Wisconsin but could make the case for a 1 loss Wisconsin to make it in. Of course we know that won't happen... I home the committee does what it did last year. It doesnt take either of the two teams in the SEC championship game, but puts Bama in as number 4. (ala the Big10 rep)

Being completely honest here, even if OSU beats Wisconsin I dont believe they belong in the series. I say that as a lifelong fan.

Id be happy with Bama, winner of Miami/Clemson, winner of OU/TCU and one at large team. Even if Wisconsin loses say a close game, they could get the nod.

My guess though? We will see two SEC teams in this year. I hope it drives the next version to 8 teams and we can quit doing this dance.

It was hard watching Minnesota go scoreless that last two weeks. But I was happy that Wisconsin won as I really want a Big Ten school in the playoffs.

Fleck got an extension - really hope he can turn Minnesota around like he has at other schools. I will say the Minnesota has played with intensity this year, even when they were over matched.

I didn't pay much attention to it last night when I saw Urban Meyer's press conference that Barrett was injured prior to the game by someone w/ camera on the sideline. However, this morning I saw Barrett's interview and somebody cut between him and a cart on the sideline while he was throwing the ball, hit his leg, and twisted his knee.

This is the best article I've seen on it as it includes the video of Barrett describing what happened in warm ups.

If that's true, then the cameraman needs to lose his/her NCAAF sideline credentials.

Hat tip to the Buckeyes and the Badgers. They are clearly the best teams in their respective division.

RE: the Michigan Wolverines. Yes, there are certainly qb issues there, as there have been for over a decade. However, unless they get some semblance of a half-decent O-line they will continue to struggle, and continue to get their qb killed. It isn't simply a talent problem either, and this has been an ongoing problem.

Lastly, kudos to coach Dantonio and my Spartans. Even though they got poleaxed by the Buckeyes and lost to Notre Dame, to get to 9-3 and to control their own destiny into November after a disastrous 3-9 season last year and awful off field problems in the spring is simply an amazing turn-around.

I absolutely agree with you Chance, he has the team going in the right direction, with a ton of positive energy. I think they'll be a force in a couple years.

I like PJ Fleck. Under Fleck, little 'ole WMU beat two Big Ten teams in the 2016 regular season, went undefeated in regular season, and only lost by 8 to the Badgers in the Cotton Bowl. My Mom was a WMU alumni so I bought us Cotton Bowl tickets and we all went to the Cotton Bowl to see WMU play.

ESPN’s Chris Fowler is reporting that the Scott Frost to Nebraska deal is done. Stars certainly seem aligned: Florida, who seemed to be Nebraska’s biggest competition for Frost, has inked Dan Mullen from Mississippi State.

I didn't realize it, but as a player Frost played for some legendary coaches: Bill Walsh (Stanford), Tom Osborne (Nebraska - the only one I knew about), Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, and Jon Gruden.

Probably learned a lot being an assistant for Chip Kelly too.

That's quite a resume. I'm just glad that buffoon Beilima? Didn't get hired.

I have taken a couple weeks off. Couldn't bear it after my Buckeyes laid an egg at Iowa.

OSU vs. Wisconsin should be a great game. I don't think this Wisconsin team will do what the last one did against the Buckeyes in the BIG 10 Championship game.

I have to disagree with the comment about wanting Alabama in the Playoff. They have a weak schedule and I am tired of the love everyone shows for them. The playoffs will be better off without them.

Playoff prediction:
1. Clemson
2. Georgia
3. Oklahoma
4. Winner OSU/Wisconsin - many will be pissed if it is OSU again. I will be happy but I am not sure we deserve it.

No Notre Dame, No Alabama, and no PAC 12.

Do, Or do not. There is no try.

Until it’s official I won’t exhale, but I couldn’t agree more, Bielema is a bag.

Interesting. Thanks for posting.

My Power 5 championship predictions:
  • ACC - Clemson wins
  • Big Ten - Wisconsin wins (going against my preseason prediction)
  • Big 12 - TCU wins. Too hard to beat a team twice in a month.
  • Pac 12 - doesn't matter
  • SEC - Georgia wins. Too hard to beat a team twice in a month.

The above makes my playoff teams:
  • Clemson
  • Wisconsin
  • Georgia
  • Alabama (1 loss Alabama gets picked over 2 loss TCU)

Yeah, latest is that it may have been premature. This TN coaching search has been the biggest dumpster fire I've ever seen at this level. It's been nuts and appears to not be over yet.

It's been a dumpster fire since Fulmer. Maybe they should keep Brady Hoke until UofM fires Harbaugh Wink

As I had to explain to some UTs down here, UT is not an upgrade from Purdue. Ain't gonna happen no matter how much money you throw at him to swallow.

UT's plane was in W. Lafayette for a whopping 30mins on Monday.

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
    Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

I am not a UT fan, but that statement you have to know is not true. At least historically - Purdue is not even in the same zip code as UT as far as wins or historical significance in college football - just look at the records, it's not even close.

As for the current situation right now? Sure, UT is a dumpster fire right now, but historically as a program? Not even close.

I'm a lifelong Bama fan, so I don't have a dog in this fight - I just happen to live near Knoxville now, so it's a local story for me and it's been very entertaining Big Grin
