I’ve been on the go nonstop since I got out of bed so didn’t get a chance to make predictions prior to today’s games.
  • NWU vs Kentucky in Music City Bowl (Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN) at 3:30 CST on ESPN. Congrats on their victory and 10 win season
  • tOSU vs USC in Cotton Bowl (AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX) at 7:30 CST on ESPN. The Buckeyes are currently up by 17 at the start of the 2nd

As a State grad it is great to see the Spartans have such a great turn-around from the year prior. Gotta hand it to Dantonio. Did some soul-searching and some re-evaluation after a disastrous 2016 campaign to win 10 games.

Looks like the B1G will finish this night with a 5-0 bown record!

  • Obviously, too early to call, but with Ohio State Up 24-0 at 5:00 before halftime, it sure looks promising for the B1G to go 5-0 this bowl season.

tOSU's defense was dominating tonight - forced 4 turnovers and had USC's QB looking out of his ear hole half the night (8 sacks). tOSU's offense had a good first half, but snoozed through the 2nd half (4 first downs, 4 punts, out on downs, and zero points).

Congrats to tOSU on their bowl victory and a 12 win season.

The Big Ten is now 5-0 this bowl season.

    Kudos:
  • NWU's RB Justin Jackson quietly finished his collegiate career as the #10 rusher in NCAA history
  • tOSU's QB JT Barrett surpassed Drew Brees for the Big Ten's total offense record.

I was hoping for a better showing last night by my Buckeyes. Thank god they didnt get selected for the finals.

On a different subject, Im pretty disappointed that the DB who thinks he is a first round pick decided to sit the game out. IMO he quit the team, and should have been sent back to the hotel, not left to roam the sidelines in a jersey.

Who wants a team mate like that?

Yep and a few notes from me.
The offense was anemic. If OSU got in instead of Alabama, we'd have a repeat of last year vs. Clemson. Thankfully the defense stepped up last night.
That was pretty sad seeing a jersey roaming around and he wasn't hurt. Saving himself for the NFL. Hahahaha.
The Buckeyes have a lot of work to do to get back to being a national championship team.

  • PSU vs Washington in Fiesta Bowl (University of Phoenix Stadium in Tempe, AZ) at 3:00 CST on ESPN. The Nittany Lions are unanimously 3 point favorites. Both teams feature high scoring offenses, but Washington's O was put in check by one of the Pac 12's few good defenses. Only common opponent was Rutgers in which they both whooped but PSU won by more. I'm going with PSU to win and cover.
  • WI vs Miami in Orange Bowl (Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL) at 700 CST on ESPN. The Badgers are unanimously 6.5 point favorites. Admittedly, I cannot stand the Miami Hurricanes so I'm pretty biased. Hornibrook has thrown a lot of INTs this season and Miami excels at takeaways, but Hornibrook's turnovers have only mattered once this season and they won't today. Additionally, I think Miami will turnover the ball more than WI. The Badgers' #1 defense is going to hold the convicts in check, and the Badgers' ginormous offensive line is going to runover the thugs. Badgers win and cover.

The 2nd half offense of the Buckeyes was disappointing. There was no consistency to the offense. What takes the coaches so long to call the plays? Decide on a play and execute, stop worrying about the defense so much. USC was not as good as billed.

I hope the Big Ten continues the bowl dominance.

What a BS turnover in the Badger game. Don’t know what the hell the replay officials were thinking.

Congrats to PSU on their bowl victory and their 11 win season. I only saw the 3rd quarter and they looked good.

Congrats to Wisc on their bowl win and 13 win season. It was a home game for Miami and the Badgers played solid in quarters 2 thru 4 after the slow start. Marquee game for Hornibrook with 258 yards passing, 4 TDs, and 0 INTs.

The Big Ten is now 7-0 this bowl season.

Congratulations to the B1G 10 Conference on the 7-0 record this bowl season!

Here’s something amazing. My brother tells me that up to 15,000 red-clad Husker fans will be in the stands at the Peach Bowl, cheering for UCF in their game against Auburn. There truly is NO place like Nebraska.

ETA: I readily admit that it’s pretty weird that there are 15,000 Husker fans willing to travel south for a bowl game, just because new head coach and former Nebraska QB, Scott Frost is coaching UCF in the game. “Fan” is indeed derived from fanatic. Nobody I know would do this.

  • UofM vs South Carolina in Outback Bowl (Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL) at 11:00 CST on ESPN2. The Wolverines are unanimously 9 point favorites. Only common opponent is Florida whom they both beat, but UofM won by a larger margin. Both teams have a pretty horrible record vs ranked teams, but to be fair UofM's record is highly influenced by whether or not O'Korn is under center. Peters is the Wolverines starting QB today and he is a spark plug causing the O to rush block better, drop less balls, fumble less, and play better D. Wolverines win and cover.

I need a large face palm and a South Park nose pinch gif.
Next year will be crucial for Harbaugh, given so many critical games away it will not be easy. And he has not yet had a QB he developed. But he is the QB guy. I would not want to replace him even if we only have a 8-4 year, but that will not cut it in Ann Arbor.
Michigan is not a top Five program, and will not be consistently. They need to accept what they once were and return to a consistent top 15 program that sent more players to the NFL than any one else. But that will not keep a coach in a job.

Well, leave it to the Walmart Wolverines to screw up the Big Ten's perfect bowl season. 7-1 is still an incredible bowl season.

As far as Harbaugh, this year's team exceeded all reasonable expectations since this year they only returned 5 starters (i.e. another recruiting screw up by Brady Hoke). There is a lot to build on (e.g. 6 sophomore starters that earned all Big Ten honors, true freshman starting at QB, the QB transfer Harbaugh scored, etc). IMO, Harbaugh gets a pass on this season, but if they don't get 10 wins next year then complaints are legit.

Our team played terrible. I will be hanging my head in shame at work tomorrow. Harbaugh has been a disappointment.
