Mitt Romney called Biden "a good man", and made it clear that even though the country is a clusterfuck, he would still take Biden over Trump.

Ironically, if President Trump, who was quite good at getting US detainees released, were still in office she likely would’ve been home by now.

Clearly she’d rather rot in a Russian prison than vote for Trump.

Russia born hockey players playing for the NHL are apparently caught up in some supposed scam of buying military ID’s. A Philadelphia Flyers goalie was detained in Russia last week preparing to head back to the states. His agent is now saying he is in the Russian Navy stationed in the Antarctica.

Reports are now circulating Russian superstar Kiril Kaprizov who plays for Minnesota Wild is wanted in Russia for buying a fake military ID. Reports were he fled back to the States but officials for the Wild state he is not in the U.S. Vlad being Vlad.

This report does not specifically say he was conscripted into the Navy where other reports I read assumed as much. Things are sketchy coming out of there obviously.

Well kind of.
He just signed with in May to play on an entry level 1 year contract for the Flyers.
He is the Russian National team’s goalie.

I got to know one of the members of the Red Army team. Nice guy. He explained that they lived much better than the average Russian and if you had problems like your car not running, you made a call and it was taken care of. His son who was about 12 at the time had lived in the States most of his life and did not want to go back to live in Saint Petersburg.

Looks like she pled Guilty

https://www.espn.com/wnba/stor...-drug-charges-russia

Detained WNBA star Brittney Griner pleaded guilty on Thursday to bringing hashish oil into Russia, telling a judge that she had done so "inadvertently" while asking the court for mercy.

The move is not expected to end her trial in Khimki, Russia, anytime soon. Even with a guilty plea in Russian criminal courts, the judge will continue to read the full case file into the record and it could still go on for weeks or months.

Griner, who was detained in February at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, told the court that she packed the vape cartridges accidentally and did not intend to break Russian law.

"I'd like to plead guilty, your honor. But there was no intent. I didn't want to break the law," Griner told the judge, according to Reuters.

I wonder how her stateside supporters will spin the fact that she admitted to the crime. It doesn't matter about "I didn't meant to do so". She has admitted doing so, and I want to hear the predictably ridiculous deflection from her supporters.

Jugde: Oh, you didn't mean to break the law? Well that makes everything ok. Just be on your way. Good day ma'am...uh....person.

Seriously? "I didn't mean to." That sounds like something I'd expect a 10 year old to say.

Pleads guilty and gets 10 years in the Russian penal system. What are the odds this savant will still make ignorant remarks that the U.S. legal system is the worst in the world when she gets out?

Then what were you doing with the illegal substance in the first place, if you did not want to break the law?
