If the firearms industry capitulates, there will be no need for Congress to ever have to think about passing gun bills or anti-2A legislation. The industry will have already turned over the keys.

But, as I said before, if you take that position, I have feeling you'll be buying close to nothing, because, for the reasons I stated previously, the vast majority of companies are likely to play ball. The only thing that will stop that is if the courts shoot it down (which is possible.)[QUOTE]

I'm guessing you have a different view on our founding fathers and their fight against tyranny than the rest of us here on SigForum. The way that I see it (as others probably do to), selling your morals, values, and soul for a dollar is the epitome of whorish behavior. There are so many businesses that if all (or even a small percentage) told the government to fuck off, the only recourse the .gov would have is to levy fines. That's simple to combat too. Do what Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton do: NOTHING. Don't pay them. If they can do it, so can we.

This is purely about splitting the country into smaller subsects and ruining small businesses. If businesses (Big & small) allow themselves to be bullied into compliance, there will be a lot of folks that will be out of work. That's going to put quite a damper on the middle class. When their families are no longer being fed, clothed, and such; we'll see a reckoning. There are so many political operations in play right now. Softening the middle class is one of the main goals and this is one way to force out Old(er), White, Males....I can go on and on about what I can see but I'll just let you try and figure it out for yourself. Hopefully I have said enough for you to at least think about our sides point of view.

I live 50 miles from the Hornady facilities - know many employees there and frequent their building. It surprises me that Hornady would do this - outstate Nebraska is very conservative to the point of daring the gov't to take action on this mandate. Sad....

I just saw this. Hornady has changed it's position regarding the mandate and announced that they will not fire anyone for refusing the shot. Good for them.

"career devastating decisions"- Those are your words. Do you think we're stupid? There's no clarification necessary. Everyone knows what you were saying, so don't try to weasel out of it now that you've lost your nerve. Lying asshole.

Ditto the above. No monies from me. And as they are title sponsor of the Area 3 USPSA Championship, I shall not be attending that again either. Little good it will do.

Leaders lead. He has shown himself to cave-in or blow with the wind twice now.
If he wanted to reverse course he should have first acknowledged his mistake, accepted responsibility, and lay out the principles he stands for in the course correction.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

You're rather oversimplifying it a bit, aren't you?

I did a lot of research in determining the optimal load for my .380 G42. The problem is adequate penetration. The only hollowpoint which seemed to fit the bill is Hornady's 90 grain XTP or the equivalent Hornady American Gunner load.
I've got a small supply of it set aside but once it's gone, I've got a quantity of Black Hills 100 grain fmj. Heavy and slow, it tumbles in ballistic gel and seems to outperform all other .380 fmj ammo by creating a decent wound channel, so I'll use that instead of buying more Hornady XTP.

I'm not saying I'll never again buy Hornady ammunition because the day might come when I need to do so, but it's going to be a long, long time before Hornady sees any more of my money, if ever.

I agree he made a big mistake. A big one. I will give him a tiny bit of credit for backing away from most of it. I am for the most part writing them off. But will see if he/they follow up with more of a support America attitude moving forward. Hopefully he wilt step up and further support real American ideals. From which his father created Hornady. I have my doubts. But I will determine its future with me based on what they do from here.

So, this is what happens once an industry becomes so regulated, that any bureaucrat can completely shut it down/imprison management.

Not sure about firearms, but, one of the things which changed a few years back, is that my license is now in my personal name, rather than the company one. I was told, that was so I would be able to be "held accountable" if anything went wrong.

The correct answer is probably "tar and feathers," if not "rope and lamp post," but resistance may not be an option for someone in a highly regulated industry.
