2016 Jeep Wrangler with 129k miles. Probably gonna get something else for a DD since I enjoy the Jeep so much. The wife wants a Jeep as well, so we may trade her Hyundai for something for me to drive to work and her keep the Jeep. Or just get her her own Jeep. Here's to the sunny slopes of long ago.

Don’t laugh, but my D/D is a 2000 Lexus LS400. 113K miles, has a quiet ride, not too hard on gas, exceptional dependability, and for what i could get for it on trade in, I honestly have a hard time coming up with a reasonable excuse to trade. I can afford a new Lexus, bit at the end of the day, it’s just not reasonable (for myself) to trade it.

During cold weather I drive a 2016 Sienna with 134k miles. When warmer weather arrives and when I don’t have to transport a ton of wildlings I prefer my 1998 Integra GSR as a daily. With a cool 221k miles it still runs strong. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Those older LS were nice, and really had a close resemblance with the S-Class Mercedes. Always liked the next generation LS430 The Enemy's gate is down.

1999 Mercedes ML-320 SUV...about 187k miles. Almost time to start thinking about something newer. AC gave up the ghost at the end of summer...vacuum leak and the power steering belt will scream in turns. It's great in the rain, but It won't make it through the coming summer No, Daoism isn't a religion

Just over 3 years old, but not really my choice. I just bought out the lease on my '21 BMW 230i with 38k miles. Banking on it being my last car, here's why: BMW doesn't offer a base car with a stick, just overpriced M cars or EV's. Not real happy, I can afford an M or a base Porsche Cayman. I'd rather save those $$$'s for retirement. Residual + tax was just over $21k, a freaking steal [And fuck the banks, I got a 401K loan, so at least I'm paying myself back]. First thing I did was to ditch the horrid runflats, the spare takes up half my truck space, small price to pay. Oil changes are now 5k [from 10k]. Planning in advance to replace known issues [B48 motor has a couple], all other maintenance will be done on time. Only options it has are the manual, parking radar & nav, both of which which I didn't ask for. I fully expect the car to last 25 more years and 250K more miles. BMW's are reliable if you take care of them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Yidn, shreibt un fershreibt" "The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. Prepared for the Worst, Providing the Best |
The one I drive daily doesn't belong to me, but it's a 2018 Dodge Durango. Work vehicle that I'm allowed to use for personal use, provided it stays local. "My" truck is an 01 Silverado 2500HD with 225k on it, but I haven't had it on the road in over a month. I try to save it from the salt this time of year, and the gas mileage is so bad that I pretty much only use it to pull the boat to the lake or haul building or gardening materials. The family hauler is an '03 Suburban with 425k on the odometer, but it hasn't been out for a while, either. There's not much rust on it and I'd like to keep it that way. My wife's car is a '13 Mazda 3...it only seats 5 and there are 6 of us, but with teenagers it's becoming more and more rare that we all go somewhere together, so even though it's not "mine" I end up driving that one more than the other two. 35mpg > 15...or 9 !

My 2004 wrangler has about 160k, but transmission has died. Until that is fixed, I'm using a 1996 Sable with 195k on it. It won't pass inspection again, too much rust! --Tom The right of self preservation, in turn, was understood as the right to defend oneself against attacks by lawless individuals, or, if absolutely necessary, to resist and throw off a tyrannical government.
