corrupt. They may very well be, but there's's not a country in the world that can out-do the corruption of our own beloved country...the USA.

That we can agree on gus. Our corrupt leaders shovel it to them by the billions and they spend a lot of it on lavish luxury items in other countries while our corrupt politicians line their pockets and their donors pockets to the tune of billions of $'s. Mn. and Ca. are a tiny corruption scandal when compared to what has transpired in ukraine for years now.

I don’t know about that, but last I heard Turkey wasn’t letting any warships enter the Black Sea, including Russian warships.

^^ How exactly is Turkey doing this? Russia has it's own port on the Black Sea, in Crimea, which was and is the home port of the Russian Navy's Black Sea Fleet. The Russians have had a naval base in Crimea since 1783, so for the last 240 years!

Crimea is falling. Nothing moves in the Black sea unless it wants to sink.

I also think the Ukrainians are destroying armored vehicles faster than Russia can replace them.

You’re confused. Ports aren’t warships.

“Turkey's enforcement of the Montreux Convention blocks reinforcements from entering via the Turkish Straits, limiting Russia's ability to replenish major combat ships.”

“The Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits is a 1936 international agreement that gives Turkey control over the Bosporus and Dardanelles straits, guarantees free civilian passage, and limits foreign warship access between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Signed on July 20, 1936, it went into effect on November 9, 1936.”
Wikipedia

“The largest modern Russian warship in the Black Sea was the Slava-class guided-missile cruiser Moskva, which served as the flagship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. It displaced 11,500 tons and measured 186 meters (612 feet) in length before it sank in April 2022.”
NBC News

Sunk on April 14, 2022, following hits by Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles. Four years on, the Russians haven’t been able to replace it.

^^ OK, so Turkey, on the opposite side of the Black Sea from Russia, which controls the Turkish Straits will neither let any Russian warships that departed the Black Sea ultimately for the Mediterranean Sea 'return' to the Black Sea, nor let any 'other' Russian Warships enter the Black Sea! Gotcha

By the way, they've still got ships in those ports, you know, the ones on the Black Sea! Wink

I agree with almost everything Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-MT) said in that video but I think this is a misstatement:

"0:5757 seconds They don't care who you voted for, who you pray to, or where you live."

They do care who we (everyone) pray(s) to, and that is a very crucial point.

This is what has me so frustrated with the Iran situation. We need to just hit them super hard and just end it, they are just stringing us along and they will never give in. Either we make the problem go away permanently are we go home. Every time I see an article where Trump says they are negotiating I pay no attention to it at all as it literally just means nothing

Several days ago President Trump stated that we would destroy one Iranian bridge or power plant for each attack on a vessel passing through the strait of Hormuz. Since then I’ve seen no reports of such vessel attacks.

Apologies for the Instagram link, but I couldn’t find the video anywhere else, many news articles with the text but wanted to share the video:

https://www.instagram.com/reel/DbTjJ93itp2/

1. Trump is still talking about negotiating and a “deal”
2. He still brings up the price of oil and the stock market

I said this at the very beginning, Trump has the absolute best intentions - but in this particular situation, intentions aren’t results. I know most of us are aligned that Iran needs to be militarily destroyed, but that doesn’t seem to be echoed.

Let us pray that this is resolved, and the world ends up better. The ME has shown that removing a leader doesn’t necessarily improve the situation, even though the ayatollah should have been taken out 30 years ago.

Do mines count? Interceptions?

I don’t know. Maybe evidence of additional mine laying would trigger an attack.

I took President Trump’s threat to mean a ship actively attacked by rockets, planes, or boats. As far interceptions, I don’t know about that either, but the veracity of “Iran’s military-linked state media” is low in my reconning.

“Iran’s military-linked state media, which also claimed that the Islamic Republic had intercepted at least six ships in the past 24 hours.“

The Ukrainians just did us a solid.

Smoked a Russian freighter in the Caspian filled with weapons destined for Iran.

So making 6 vessels turn back with warning shots doesn’t count as an attack?

So said “Iran’s military-linked state media”. You must trust their veracity more than I do. I’ll wait for better evidence.

Correct, I don’t trust them at all. Was using the same link as Skins with the mine explosion, that story can’t be verified by other news sources.

Let’s see what the the coming weeks bring. The one clear outcome of this conflict so far has been to show how utterly depleted and insufficient our ability is to supply the military weapons needed.
