I don't see anything wrong with what Trump said in the article. I've been through both military school and military service and Trump is right, I received more military/martial training at military school than I did in either boot camp, A-school, and C-school. That's Navy, though, so I can't speak to the training that one might receive in a typical infantry-oriented organization like the Army or Marines. Again, though, I don't see anything incorrect in what Trump said in the quotes the article tried to use against him.

The issue is not whether Trump is correct. The issue is that he equates militarized high school not just with military service, but with the kind that involves combat and capture. Said he, "I never had to do that [i.e. military service], but I felt that I was in the military". "Felt"? That's rich! Whose favor does he seek with this false equivalence? Other chickenhawks, perhaps? Regardless, Trump's experience in militarized high school has led him to belittle the years of suffering that John McCain (no hero in my combat veteran's eyes, BTW) had to endure. Why? Because Trump has no shame. And that is NOT CORRECT in a candidate for president. Somehow, "ass clown" just doesn't capture his character. -------------- Don't put me in fear for my life.

I don't see where he implies that at all. At least you will be farther from Mexico. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

He means that he lived under the virtues, the discipline, honor, responsibility etc of the military environment. There is a lot of good in having done that, lacking in many of the candidates to their disadvantage. Many of us served the the military, did the training etc without ever experiencing anything more dangerous than buying drinks for nurses, but did soak up the virtues anyway. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Exactly right. I've never personally experienced combat, but who I am today is very much defined by my experience at the Academy and then in the Navy Reserve. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Fair enough, but when's the last time you expected to get a job based on where you went to high school?

He is not expecting to get a job based on his Highschool, that is a VERY narrow minded approach and foolish way to try to justify your dislike of the man. How many other candidates are mentioning how our nation has failed it's veterans? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

I wish that the people who dislike Trump would just come out and say that. It would include the whole MSM. Then we'd hear Megyn Kelly say, "I can't stand Donald Trump." And Charles Krauthammer, "I loathe Donald Trump." But it would be a great improvement, it would be out in the open, there would be none of this "Why, he insulted a war hero and a distinguished senator!" "He's waging a war on women!" "He equated military school with Vietnam combat!" "He's citing his high school education as a qualification for POTUS!" "He's an asshole. I hate the guy." C'mon, just say it and skip the silliness. ______________________________________________________ "You get much farther with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

Donald Trump: Illegal Immigrant Deportations Completed in Two Years Businessman Donald Trump told Alabama Republican leaders his deportation plan will be completed in two years. Illegal immigrants Trump plans on building a border fence with Mexico and deporting 11+ million illegal aliens. The Wall Street Journal Blogs reported: Donald Trump estimated that it will take 18 months to two years to get the roughly 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally to leave the country, and that he would then build a wall running along the border with Mexico. The businessman’s statement made on a call with Alabama Republicans Thursday night added a bit of specificity to the Republican presidential frontrunner’s hardline stance on immigration. Mr. Trump released a six-page policy paper on immigration last month, and reporters have asked for details about how it would work since. The Alabama Republican Party hosted the dial-in call with Mr. Trump Thursday night as part of series with the 2016 presidential candidates. Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz have also participated. On the call, Mr. Trump was asked for details about how long it would take to round up illegal immigrants living in the U.S., with the questioner asking if five or ten years was an appropriate timeframe. Mr. Trump said his two year benchmark could be met with “really good management.” “We have to get them out. If we have wonderful cases, they can come back in but they have to come back in legally,” Mr. Trump said in an audio clip posted on YouTube Thursday night by a person on the call. Mr. Trump’s plan has been denounced by Democrats and many rival Republicans, who have called it impractical and immoral, among other criticisms. http://www.thegatewaypundit.co...pleted-in-two-years/ It's entirely possible, and absolutely necessary. Combined with trade improvements, and growing public support, this will return U.S. jobs for some of the 94 MILLION AMERICANS not working. Cost of NOT doing this is astronomically high. This is THE compelling issue of the 2016 campaign and Trump is NAILING it. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies.
