I've been to 5 Trump rallies since the convention. There are more people turned away from a Trump rally than Hillary draws to her events. The media absolutely refuses to report it.

I just proposed a course of action with some like-minded coworkers for Tuesday. We spend the whole evening watching election results. Everytime a state is called for Trump we take a shot. Everytime one is called for Hillary we kick each other in the nuts and load 3 AR mags.

I've never been drink in my life but I feel like I might get totally plastered if this idea sticks.

No, just that it's generally only shocking if you're unfamiliar, and generally only unfamiliar if you're totally out of touch with pop and music culture, for the last decade, and, I suspect, if it weren't for the exposure of it now during the election that many folks who find it off-putting would go along being unaware of exactly how common, not new, not really shocking, and such that it really is. Subjective tastes aside...

Again, if you hate it and such things that's certainly fine, but it's about as common and normal, and has been for years or more, as Wonder Bread or something else like that. The album most of those lyrics and songs are from came out in 2003 (his 8th of 12 albums). Per wikipedia "In 2014, Forbes estimated Jay Z's net worth at nearly $520 million.[7][8] He is one of the world's best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 100 million records, while receiving 21 Grammy Awards for his musical work."

You may not like him or his style or what he represents, which is fine, but he's a cultural and entertainment phenomenon of significant proportions and popularity. He IS an aspect of the new normal, and has been for years, good, bad, or otherwise.

I'm not even a big fan, simply very familiar.

I've seen so many reports of this and wondered how true it really is. A few days ago I talked to a buddy/coworker who had to work a Clinton event that Biden attended recently. It wasn't his choice; duty calls. Anyway, I brought it up and he stated the venue could hold about three hundred and about 100 attended. I think that was in Pennsylvania.

NOT a good idea, man. Look at the pessimistic Trump state count at Real Clear Politics. 30 shots of hard liquor is likely to be LETHAL. And there's a good chance Trump's count will be higher than that.

Thanks,

-No protestors or disruption of any sort that I saw
-Several thousand people turned away at door by around 7pm, including friends of mine that had been in line for 2 hours
-Wikipedia says Giant Center official capacity was 10,500 but it may have been more as the floor where they usually have the rink was the stage and several thousand people standing

Think he might turn Pittsburgh area? Just asking cuz Pitt is a little bit more blue collar than Philly from the last time I was in the area. Looks like there are a ton of boosters in eastern PA (other than Philly) too.

Ooops! I totally misread thumperfbc's original post and thought they were actually going to be firing their ARs when he said "take a shot." My first thought after reading where he had never taking a drink but thought he was going to be totally plastered was to asking him to please not drink and shoot. Ooops! Glad I RTFT and caught your message for the correct reading of what he wrote.

I'll second your point. thumperfbc, make it light shots of beer, or better yet just don't drink. Don't get yourself deadified on election night.

You want to make sure you are around to watch the witch's head explode or her get hauled off to jail, whatever great stuff is in the future.

I agree with you and none of it offends me. I like a lot of his music.

But, I think it is relevant to show everyone the lyrics these artists use since it shows the extremely hypocritical nature of the democrats to act as though anything Trump has ever said offends them when they invite such acts to play their events and visit the White House.

"Grab them by the pussy" is tame compared to the things people the Obamas have had over to dinner have said.

Pretty sure 2 shots would put me out for the night. I don't drink at all and have zero tolerance. In reality I'll sit at home with my wife and snuggle with the kiddos when they wake up throughout the night as they always do.

You know they put so much emphasis on swing states. BUT votes from every state add up......just the same to get to 270. Unfortunately the commie states like California have an incredibly high, I think it's 55 electorial votes

Well, count one less electoral vote for rotten klinton. Washington state elector says he's giving his vote to Bernie Sanders no matter what the outcome. He'll happily pay the $1,000 fine.

“When you are investigating a case then unless you have unearthed something , you need to just do your job,” Obama said in an interview with Al Sharpton set to air Friday night on MSNBC’s “All in With Chris Hayes.”

“If there are things that you think are worth presenting, then you present them to a prosecutor,” the president added. “The prosecutor then makes a judgment. The prosecutor can make a decision either to file a charge or not to file a charge."
