Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for 2016 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump

Brooke Sammon—Rubio’s national press secretary

Bill Sammon is a Fox News Channel Vice President and the bureau chief of that network’s Washington, D.C. team.

CNN’s Erin Burnett asked Lewandowski about Fox News’s controversial anti-Trump statement from Tuesday evening—and specifically the network’s claim that the top Trump aide had allegedly made threats against Fox News anchor and Thursday debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly

Lewandowski revealed two things for the first time: that the executive he was discussing matters with was Bill Sammon, and that Sammon’s daughter Brooke Sammon works for Rubio’s campaign, giving the first-term Floridian Senator an obvious boost.

That blatant conflict of interest has never before been disclosed to the viewers of Fox News by the network.

the Fox News executive who oversees the debate process, their daughter is a senior executive on the Marco Rubio campaign

A Rubio spokesman, communications director Alex Conant, responded to a Breitbart News inquiry on this matter by standing up for Brooke Sammon and questioning Breitbart News’s integrity.

Several times leading up to the previous Megyn Kelly-co-moderated debate back in August 2015, it was confirmed that Sammon was personally involved in crafting the entire focus of the debate.

For instance, on Howard Kurtz’s Aug. 2 Media Buzz show on the Fox News Channel, Kurtz and Fox’s Chris Stirewalt confirmed that Sammon is the “secret weapon” crafting the questions.

“You’ve been to this rodeo before,” Kurtz asked Stirewalt. “How do you and Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier and Chris Wallace go about formulating your questions, knowing the candidates are going to try to pivot to their talking points?”

“Well, the first thing is we have a secret weapon and that is Bill Sammon, who is the best at not only team cohesion and keeping everybody on point about what the point is, but in crafting the questions,” Stirewalt replied before Kurtz interjected that Sammon is the Fox News Channel’s “Washington bureau chief.”

We do not need yet another politically correct professional politicraP in the white house!

We need somebody who will do what is necessary regardless of what the media, or media apologists say or think.

Not to mention someone who knows how to get things done, how to make informed decisions even when the establishment drones are opposed.

Another 4 (or 8) years of establishment do nothing bullshit will kill what is left of the country. Look what has happened over the last several years when republicans have controlled the House and senate! Not a fucking thing! They funded everything the GDCAIC wanted because of some threat on his part to veto.

RepublicraPs coupled with democraps put Ryan in as speaker who promptly did what the white house wanted.

All this reaching across the aisle BS is nothing but pandering to the "establishment".

It is long past the time when elected officials actually do what they were sent there to do, or throw them the hell out.

Yeah, he'll hump your grandma's leg, he'll shit on the carpet, piss on your white walls and chew up things you value. You want a "Trump Yard" dog.

I am weary of the "pretty man" presidents, who we (have been conditioned to believe) are the "Proper and Presidential" mandate, when people like Andrew Jackson, John Quincey Adams, Thomas Jefferson and men like them, would be the epiomy of unPolitically Correct in today's America, because we failed to teach and unhold their ideals, their history in a manner that was truthful and honest.

Sometimes these men did things that would cause our fragile markets to quake, and send the media into panicked frenzy that the world was about to end.

Trump has made such an impact by showing up, not spending more than pocket change and created this much change in venue, attitudes, behavior and such to the media, the establishment, the voters, I have no doubt he can do the same thing as sitting POTUS.

He will hire the best people he can find and form an administration and if he plays the same game with leaders of the world, yeah, "we" can make America great again.

He does not have to be Ronald Reagan to be Ronald Reagan.

Soo mysterious. I just can't figure it out.

The fact that we are 6 debates into this, days from the first primary, and Fox still has people who are barely in the single digits says it all.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Its a ratings specticle for them. By tossing "The Don" into the ring once more with "Bimbo" theyre hoping to create some more "news". If they were so damned concerned "about the folks" (as O'Rielly says) they would have replaced Megyn with someone else.

By putting Fox News at the top of the list (instead of the Country) just shows how f'ed up the entire thing has become. It (Fox) has become just as much of the problem as the crap thats taken over DC. None of them get it because its "all about them".

Trump IS a bit of a narcissist. Maybe it takes one to show one as they say.

You think Fox is "favorable" to Trump...seriously?

Next to msnbc, fox is more critical of Trump than any other media outlet out there. I've been watching them all lately and there is no doubt in my mind that this is true. Megan Kelly just had Michael Moore on to comfort her and tell her audience just how bad for America Trump would be.

I've said on here before that I favored Cruz but I an rethinking that now. Even if he could find a way to win the nomination there is just no way he could win the general election. Sadly, he is just too conservative to win the independents, the angry black vote or the moderate democrats.

No, Trump has to be our man. It just makes sense.

Which network are you watching? It can't be FoxNews. Favorable? No way. Not even close.

Trump tied Megyn Kelly to the National Review hit job on him.

Since the Republican National Committee cut ties with National Review as a debate partner after National Review published its anti-Trump issue, Trump felt that Fox News should have replaced Kelly with a more objective moderator, especially after Kelly helped National Review Editor Rich Lowry gin up the magazine’s “Against Trump” manifesto last week.

“Sooner or later Donald Trump, even if he’s president, is going to have to learn that he doesn’t get to pick the journalists—we’re very surprised he’s willing to show that much fear about being questioned by Megyn Kelly,” Fox News said in a Monday statement

After Trump polled his Instagram followers on Tuesday about whether he should participate in the Fox News debate (Trump asked: “Megyn Kelly is really biased against me. She knows that, I know that, everybody knows that. Do you really think she could be fair at a debate?”), Fox News inexplicably upped the ante by mocking and taunting Trump in an unprecedented statement to left-leaning Mediaite:

"We learned from a secret back channel that the Ayatollah and Putin both intend to treat Donald Trump unfairly when they meet with him if he becomes president — a nefarious source tells us that Trump has his own secret plan to replace the Cabinet with his Twitter followers to see if he should even go to those meetings."

even veteran CNN journalist John King said he had never seen a media organization—let alone one that claims to be “fair and balanced”—issue such a statement, which inexplicably turned the process for choosing the country’s next president into a joke.

Fox News’s taunt was the last straw for Trump, who decided soon after that he was done playing Ailes’s games after the “wise-guy press release.” After reading it, Trump said, “I said, ‘bye, bye.’”

***********************

MHO: I think Trump would have attended tonight if Fox had not put out the ridiculing statement.

And Trump is right - serious presidential candidates deserve more professional treatment than the Fox taunting comment.

Maybe Fox is going after the MSNBC audience.

Hopefully he will tell them to fuck off, and continue doing what he believes is best for the country. Wouldn't THAT be a refreshing change, even if it was occasionally wrong? We're wrong now anyway trying to manage by appeasement and polls, so let's be wrong on principles instead for 8 year or so!

Agree 100%!! I've been saying that for YEARS! For a Republican to take the general election, they MUST appeal in some way to the Independent voter enough to sway that vote from the Dems. As much as I'd like to see Ted in the White House, it just won't happen. He is TOO conservative for the "I's" and Libertarians.

No shit!!! No pun intended, but isn't that just letting the fox into the hen house??? Jeezus Criste...when Fox "News" has to stoop to bringing Michael Moore, the most fascist, America-hating, bloviating individual I've ever seen, on their show to counter a point, SOMETHING is seeeeeeriously wrong in this country.

Here is something Ann Coulter posted yesterday. I think she is spot on with this:

quote:
It’s all Trump. Everything we’ve been begging politicians to talk about for the past decade, Donald Trump has brought up with a roar.

But the conservative Miss Grundys complain that Trump isn’t satisfactory. They say he’s “not a serious person”; he’s “a clown,” a “vulgarian”; he’s not a “constitutional conservative” — you know, like the people who ignore the Constitution on “natural born citizen.”

This is not an election about who can check off the most boxes on a conservative policy list, or even about who is the best or nicest person. This is an election about saving the concept of America, an existential election like no other has ever been. Anyone who doesn’t grasp this is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

The nitpickers are like the cartoon of Diogenes looking over the man before him, and saying: “I was hoping for a taller honest man.”

You’re not getting a “taller honest man.” Trump is our only shot to save America, if there’s still time.

No, what we need is a fierce man who can recognize when he's being asked to bend over so that someone can fuck him in the ass, and that's what I see happening in this situation.

Trump is going to allow himself to be played, and have Fox reap millions upon millions of dollars of ad revenue, all due to Trump's presence??
