Imagine Trump and Cruz ripping into the corrupt system with help from the true patriots working for the government. Yes there are still many.

There has always been talk of a third party to counter the traditional choices, but I have always thought the way Trump is doing it was the best option.

Just hijack the party away from those who are causing the problems. The socialists did it with the Democrats, why can't our side do it with the Republicans? No need for a third party. We should just turn our existing party into what it should be.

^ Precisely.

As long as it's a "fair fight" it's cool, even if Trump somehow doesn't get the Nomination, I'll support the Nominee because fuck Hillary, but I swear - if there ends up being more than the faintest stench of monkey business - the GOP will have effectively killed themselves - most certainly so by the time 2020 comes.

Now you've piqued my curiosity.

I have publicly committed myself, here and elsewhere, to not only vote for but volunteer for the campaign of whoever wins the GOP nomination.

Are you prepared to do the same if someone other than Trump gets the GOP nomination? Or at least vote for that nominee?

And don't forget the media. He doesn't need them. He's better at spin and promotion than they are. If they keep screwing with him, he's liable to just start his own cable channel. Oprah did it, why not Trump. If he did it, he'd make another fortune with it.

And the death of the Republican Party.

If these preppie hoodlums, the Republican elites, try with their millions and all their Washington connections to force Jeb down our throats-- it's going to fail badly. Fuck 'em. No way in the world I will vote for Jeb Bush.

It's come to this. Even Geraldo thinks Trump will be the nominee.

Geraldo calls himself a "Liberal Republican" of course.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

No matter what Trump does, if Jeb is the nominee we will most assuredly lose, and the GOP and the Republican Establishment will have fucked us all.

If that causes Trump to run Independent, he won't win either, nor will he be the cause of Jeb's loss. Jeb's halfassedness plus his last name will be the cause of Jeb's loss.

Bank on it.

May the best man win.

Unfortunately many people will sit this one out if the GOPe pulls this crap. I think the GOPe would rather hillary win than Trump win. There isn't much that separates the RINO's from commies anyway.

I think so, too. at the end of the day, behind closed doors, the Roves and Doles and McCains and Bushs and McConnells and Rubios of the world would actually prefer Clinton to Trump in order to maintain the status quo and their gravy trains in and related to D.C.

I can't prove it, but I'm 99% certain it is a fucked up truth.

We'll see in a few months, regardless.

As long as there is a semi-fair nomination process, yes of course.

If we go into the Convention with Trump & Cruz taking ~90% of the votes (between them), but then a bunch of Establishment pricks fuck us over & give us !Yeb! for a candidate (against the vast majority of Republican voters), then I reserve the right to change my support. I think the vast majority of Republican primary voters feel the same way.

But I'm gonna love it when Trump gets the nomination, & all the Establishment has to support him. I submit that many will not support him, & show their true colors.

Define a "semi-fair nomination process", then. Specifically. I didn't feel any need to leave myself any wriggle room.

^ aside from whatever you two agree on, I've little doubt we'll all know if some fishy bullshit happens and the question will probably answer itself.

I'll say it this way: aside from monkey business, ask yourself - how could Jeb possibly supplant Trump at this juncture?

If they fuck him, we'll know... well enough...

At this point I'd be surprised if Jeb made it to March 1st, and shocked if he made it beyond March 1st.

Color me skeptical, but I have grave doubts those in charge of the process will do what's right. Thankfully, we'll soon know.

If it's not fair, you'll know. I think I defined it pretty well. Heres a hint, if anyone goes into the convention with < 10% of the votes, but the Party insiders fuck everyone else out of their votes & put their guy in, it'll be the destruction of the R party, & the blame will be the old guard Establishment RINOs.

Would you agree, that if polling numbers continue as they are (for example, Jeb is 5%) & he gets the nomination in a brokered convention, that the R party insiders have fucked every other R voter out of his say? Would you then be ready to vote 3rd party? If not, you tacitly agree with what they've done.

I for one am not as certain Trump is going to be the Republican nominee as I am as certain Hillary will be the democratic nominee. Things are very volatile and fluid on the republican side and there is still enough time left for everything to be turned upside down from where it is now.

What worries me is through all this Hillary is sailing on calm seas. Trump has sucked so much of the oxygen out of this campaign that the dems can take a nap and say wake me up at election time.

You can bet the subject matter of the next republican debate will not be why Hillary Clinton should not be president.

The Republicans should have been hammering on her months ago but all they are doing is hammering on Trump. This is not good.

I also wonder if all the effort on investigating the terror events has drawn FBI resources from the Hillary email investigation.
Things are not over by a long shot. Not in this campaign. This campaign is different than anything I have ever seen before. How anybody can say Trump is the forgone nominee at this point is puzzling to me.
