I think Trump alienates moderates and independents. He's not held accountable for anything he says or claims, regardless how far fetched they sound or even if they're unconstitutional.

While I agree with some of what he says, he high school bully tactics are driving away key swing votes. Ever wonder why the MSM gives him all the press?

I think Rubio or Cruz has a decent chance against Shrill Hill 2.0.

Just listening to Limbaugh, and he read off a law passed back in the 1950's (by democratic congress and president, no less) that specifically allows for a sitting president to declare by executive order that any group or groups deemed a threat to US security can be banned from immigrating for as long as he/she deems necessary. Was implemented by Carter against Iranian immigration back when he was in office. Unless Rush made it up, seems that The Donald's statement was merely a reflection of current law, and not some kooky statement.

Almost makes sense, stop the threat from moving in next door....

Sorry, no documentation folks, heard it and haven't had a chance to look it up. But seems that it will make those screaming the loudest look the dumbest if they didn't know this was on the books.

Looks like ¡Jeb! & Kasich have accounts here now......

We've been over this numerous times. Y'all live in FantasyLand.

Come to the Dark Side. It's ok to despise self-serving career politicians who want to continue fucking America, albeit at a slightly slower rate than Dems. Trump ain't perfect, but y'alls speculation is even more idiotic.

Let's modify this speculation...

A vote for Trump is a guaranteed spot in the White House for Hillary, because the God-Damn-Goldilocks-Republicans will stay home, as they did in the last 2 presidential elections.

How's that?

Politically speaking, the one thing I abhor more than a progressive/god-damn-commie, is a God-Damn-Goldilocks-Republican.

Maybe politicians say what people want to hear, but having read his positions on, for example, gun rights, immigration and trade with China, these things are exactly what I want to hear.

Cruz does as it's practically impossible to effectively debate him.

Rubio would have his ass handed to him by Hillary. Besides, he's really a RINO that hasn't completely showed his stripes.

I agree that if the democrap libs weren't worried, they'd stay out of it entirely and watch what happened with Romney and MCCain happen again. Trump is saying what a lot of Americans have been waiting to hear for a long time, and that includes before the current squatter in the WH.

I also agree that Republicans need to go into full court press mode on that skank clinton. Go after her relentlessly and assault every lie, non-answer, and forced laugh she tries to blat in lieu of an answer.

The only fly in this ointment is that it is clear that the current crop of republicans are largely in cahoots with their opposites. How else can it be explained that they have not collectively dumped a bucket of water on this bitch?

Do you have any polling data to back that up? The rest of the GOP can't even take on Trump.

'splain it to me.

Cuz I don't see it.

Trump is more "real" than most any politician there is.

You talk to someone who is aware of the crap going on in this world arena and they are going to say the same things DT says, using much the same language and verbiage. Why, because that is how people talk, and how they come across when they speak their mind, opinion and present facts.

It is often unpolished and frank. And we have become so accustomed to "grooming" speech, than no one simply puts it out there.

Sure, we should be mindful to not be vulgar and crass, but not at the expense of honesty.

Donald is a crafty fox, and he certainly knows how to make a deal.

We need someone smart enough to know how to deal and also realize they he alone is not the end all be all of the game, but that he needs smart people to do the smart things.

My bet is he knows and will do that, and those people will be cut-throat makers and shakers.

I believe it enough that I will be happy to pull the lever with the big T.

And I think a majority of people will do that as well.

The Republican Establishment is very fearful of Trump, the Democrats are also afraid of him.

Because both are afraid that the people might just have had enough of this blended horseshit!
I pushed for Romney because I wanted a chance with him as a parachute rather than the smoking hole in the ground we ended up with.

No matter how hard Romney would try, he could never have left us as fucked as the asshole we have now.

And FTR, I do not blame one person that voted for Obama, they voted their belief. But I am damned pissed at all of those who failed to vote, or voted against Romney in a "Fuck You" vote. Because, yep, you fucked all of us.

Hmmm.... either the 4th cup of coffee, or this is a hot button topic for me.

Ya think?

"Trump guarantees a victory for Hillary" is just the latest talking point of the establishment Republicans. Nothing more. No argument is presented. It's supposed to be obvious.

Well, no. To me it is not obvious. What I see is a candidate who is rolling along, mounting a very strong campaign despite unprecedented efforts by the MSM, Democrats, and the Republican establishment to derail him. What I see is our best hope to counter a powerful media and political coalition that is destroying the country.

Trump guarantees defeat for Hillary.

Post script: We'll see, but I think there is a good chance that Comey's investigation might well send Hillary to prison. He just might be uncorrupted enough to produce a thorough investigation-- and if so, that can only be bad news for her.

If anything or anyone kills the GOP, it will be the GOP itself and the ineffectual twats who have been a part of the GOP for years, decades in many cases. Fuck them, each and all.

My only love and allegiance is to these United States. the parties themselves are generally a distraction, rarely actually do what they stand for, and often contradict their principles.

Establishment Republicans, most professional politicians, and DC insiders *are* the problem, or one of the biggest problems at least, and that must change for us to prosper.

Trump is an independent running under the GOP umbrella, which is about the best combination there is, a defacto Reformation of the GOP itself, from within, top down.

And I welcome it.

Further, while amply skeptical about Trump, especially at first, I do not believe, not even a little, that anyone else in the GOP field can actually beat Hillary come the election.

In my mind, she's all but a shoe in, and maybe, just maybe, Trump can help avoid that.

Been said many times before that you can tell who scares the Dems and MSM by who they attack. They know the Donald will be trouble for Hillary. They know Jeb will lose to her.

At least with the Donald I wont have to hold my nose in the voters booth. With Jeb the voters booth becomes an outhouse. Hopefully Jeb's campaign will be flushed soon.

Trump guarantees that the talking points of this election are on his terms.

Trump guarantees that Cruz has a shot in this race because he changed those talking points and is taking all the heat.

Trump guarantees that the plans the GOP establishment had are out the window...kind of like the end of Life Stinks when the homeless guy tells the media, "I'll tell you what's happenin'. The rich and famous are having a party in our neighborhood, and we (bleeped) it up!"

He can absolutely win the general and thanks to him so can Cruz.

Cruz is my choice too.
However, I'd gladly pull the lever for Trump, if nominated. If the GOP tries to dump Trump at the convention or some other silly slight-of-hand trick, it will be the end of the GOP.

Remember, the Party doesn't pick the candidate. The candidate is chosen by the voters, through the primary process in all 50 states. Trump may win, but I will vote for Cruz in the Missouri primary on March 15 because I think he would make the best President.

I think both of you should be excited about defeating Hillary and the rest of the socialists/GDCs. We don't need a food fight between us. Hold your fire for the enemy.
